He's definitely going to go out there for at least one batter... if anybody gets on, he's probably done. I will say this... if we were still playing by NL rules, he'd probably have already been pinch-hit for.
Its just hilarious that mundane things like catcher interference or freakin subtle-ass BALKS get called routinely (and rightly/correctly)... but a slide that in no way is attempting to secure a base (and is deliberately being done to affect the throw) is considered "legal".

Yep, there's a right way and a wrong way to go hard into second, that was just about the most egregious wrong way I've seen. He didn't start sliding until he was at the bag.
