What *EXACTLY* is the reason we don't allow people to walk around with swords anymore? Why are guns ok and something to be pushed for Open Carry and Concealed etc. but these weapons still illegal? Rocket River Maybe Bows and Arrows?
Better to not talk about it. If we point out the obvious contradiction in the unregulated ownership of firearms and the reasonable controls we have on carrying bladed weapons, the likely solution will be to remove the rules on the bladed weapons.

Why stop at swords? Let's give everyone explosives. There is no greater deterrent to a criminal than a populace that is strapped with bombs on their chests. Shoot me and I'll blow up the entire room. Yes, there will be a small number of accidents and bad stuff happening, but hey, if over 50% of bomb owners are responsible with their chest mounted explosives, then who are we to takeaway those liberties?
Don't forget clubs. The law specifically mentions that it is illegal to carry a club. Cavemen everywhere are up in arms.
