Did some research and I think I found the culprit. Bravo, Microsoft. Found out they have 5-6 processes on my computer that sends usage data on my computer from 1-5am. Here's how you can stop MS from collecting your usage data. Go to windows update > view update history > installed updates. In the search bar, search for KB3022345, KB3068708, KB3075249, KB3080149 and uninstall them. Control panel > action center > change action center settings > customer service improvement center program settings > no Control panel > administrative tools > task scheduler 1. Task Scheduler Library > Microsoft > Windows nodes and open the Application Experience Disable the AITAgent and ProgramDataUpdater 2. Task Scheduler Library > Microsoft > Windows node, open the Customer Experience Improvement Program Disable the Consolidator, KernelCEIPTask, and Use CEIP This is for windows 7/8. Don't know about windows 10 because I don't have that installed. Read some forums and it seems that you can disable the majority of it on wins 10, but there are some you are unable to. If I missed anything, please add. Anyone else know of any other reason why my computer might randomly turn on when I've done multiple virus checks with 0 results? Prior to disabling these programs, I found that they automatically ran every night, which led me to this conclusion.
Dang.... and all this time I just thought my house was haunted.... What a relief.... Will sleep better tonight....
Must be ghosts. My receiver in my living room randomly turns on/off every other night. Don't know what it is with me and audio equipment (maybe electronics in general). I've had other audio in previous homes randomly turn on and off as well.
how do i get f'n whoracle java to stop popping up asking me to update the latest version which i already have installed anyways?
Sharyl Attkisson's computer was turning on and off at night when she was investigating Obama and his people. Did you do or say anything recently....be very careful!
Obviously you've been watching too much p*rn, and now the websites viruses are hacking into your camera and trying to get some amateur footage.
