Until the Texans sign the turf to a contract I don't want Mallet starting.

Hoyer pretty much sucks too but at least the receivers get a chance to catch the ball.

I never thought in a million years I would miss Fitzpatrick/Schaub.

    Oh god what has happened.

BOB says Mallet will start on Thursday. At least he isn't flip flopping

People screamed for Mallet to start for the last two years. He finally does. Yall gave him 4 games before you turned on him lol

    Lmao, wow.

We get to see more 60 QBrating play.

The only explanation is we're going for the #1 pick

I still think Mallet is the better option out of what we have.

For sure, Mallett isn't great, but he's the best option we have.....and most people who matter realize that.

He's the best option for tanking, I agree with you.

I do agree with you on this.

He's our best option...at a high draft pick.

Mallet put up a 47 QBrating against the falcons and now has a 64 career QB Rating.

    64.

    Pro football focus:

The disappointing thing about Mallett is his struggles on the shorter throws, where he went just 5-of-13 on balls thrown less than 10 yards in the air.

Schefter: They made a change earlier in the season and hasn't exactly gone the way they'd hope so they're sticking by their QB and could be without 2 WRs.

Mort: Some would call this a mild surprise but O'Brien is probably thinking from a maturity, emotional standpoint, it's easier to bring Hoyer off the bench as opposed to you might lose Ryan Mallett if you put him on the sidelines.

Riddick: He's trying to buy more time to see what Mallett can bring. If you bring Hoyer back, then that's it. You won't bring Mallett back once again. Probably shouldn't have benched? Hoyer in the first place.

Glad Mallet has kept the job. Needs to play so we can get a complete verdict either positive or negative. It's the only way to convince management to draft for a top QB prospect.

When I was your age they would say we can become cops, or criminals. Today, what I'm saying to you is this: when you're facing a loaded gun, what's the difference?

Interstellar criminals now voice their opinions regarding the Texans? This can't be good.

I think BoB is just throwing darts at the moment. Mallett won't have a big leash on Thursday.
