Nice! They're on the road on my bday April 6. Maybe this means the Rockets will have a home game? I swear every year the Rockets are on the road during my birthday.
They're playing the NL Central in interleague next year, so I expect the travel to be less than it was this year (where they played the NL West: @SD, @COL, @SF)... other than the interleague divisional matchups, most of their travel should be consistent from year to year.
Oddly enough they travel 4k more in 2016. Those trips to Cali were easier travel wise because it is easier to go from LAA to Oak and they didn't have to travel at all for the SF leg of the trip.
I guess that makes sense... but I'd rather have shorter road trips (with more distance travelled) vs. longer road-trips due to trying to cut down travel and play all the teams in the area at one time (if that makes any sense). The only two road destinations that they're heading to next year, that they didn't make this year, are @Milwaukee and @St. Louis.... foreign venues for most Astros fans . I also expect them to always be near the top simply due to the multiple Seattle road trips (which is the longest trip for most teams).
We might end the season Tuesday night in Yankee Stadium and then have to start 2016 in Yankee Stadium. Intriguing.
the yankees will end the season hosting the astros and then have to start the 2016 season hosting the astros.

I'm glad they're playing a division series to end the year; heck, a league-series. I thought having to end in the NL was, frankly, unfair and potentially a giant disadvantage.
Astros were 16-4 in interleague play. Totally NOT a disadvantage. Gattis is so hit and miss that, being able to face the other team's pitcher instead of a DH neutralizes whatever the Stros lost with Gattis's at bats. Next year though that division with Cards, Pirates, and Cubs will be tough. Even the Reds are a better team they showed this year. Also isn't it funny that they could face 3 playoff teams in the first two weeks after losing or beating them in the playoffs - Yankees, Royals, and Rangers.

I was looking at pricing for the opening game at Yankees stadium. Good lord man, those prices are insane. $2200 for 1st row behind the dugouts? $800+ for second deck behind home plate?
Only 15 games with after 9:00 pm starts. unfortunately 10 of those are during April, May, September when school is in.
