Lin played well against the Heat, but nothing extraordinary. The entire game he played off-guard. He hardly handled the ball at hand. But when he did, he blew by everybody. Lin probably should have had 4 or 5 assists but Tyler Hansborough can't make a basket to save his life and that no-name 7 footer can't catch a pass to save his life. Jeremy Lamb had a sucky game btw. Lin was plus-16, for whatever that is worth. The offense under Kemba Walker is pretty much let the clock run down to 2 or 3 seconds and then watch as Kemba hoists a miracle shot (which sometimes he makes)
Ah, the classic "Lin should have had more assists but teammates suck" and "x player never passed to Lin etc." lol.
nice strawman, no one cares about pre-season, not even for lawson/harden. How they perform wouldn't matter until the playoffs
For every highlight reel (including those of him shooting FT's ), I expect a 1:10 ratio of dumbass mistakes.
I hate on Lin plenty, but I've gotta give him his due when he deserves it. His highlights looked like the game has slowed down for him. He doesn't panic. Granted, it's the preseason and none of the tier 1 players are playing hard, but he looked good. It was starting to look like he'd fall out of the league, but now I'm convinced he has plenty left.
Lin has always been able to score a ton on borderline NBA talent. He had a triple double in the D-league the week before Linsanity back in NY. The issue is how he handles pressure from 1st string players. If he can improve that and be more consistent, he'd be a solid player in the league. He's capable of averaging 13.5 pts and 6 assists(his 1st year with the Rockets) and that would be solid for anyone, but it's his inconsistency that's the problem.
Crazies reliving faiLin's preseason accomplishments mean while Harden and Co just came off an insane WCFs
Don't worry guys, we'll have 10+ pages surely enough when Lin plays bad, in the preseason. It's just a matter of time.
please after the first exhibition or two we'll see posts about how encouraged everyone is, how dangerous they're going to be. There will probably be a poll asking if the Rockets have the best backcourt in basketball.
Brian Roberts played very well. How long before he replaces Lin in the rotation? First Lin get Patrick Beverled, then Ronnie Priced, and now Brian Roberted?
again nice strawman, that never happens. plus a contender getting a final piece to go for a championship is a hell a lot more exciting and more to be hyped about than a min player on charlotte
Doubt it. Charlotte has nothing to lose this season and Brian Roberts is no prospect like clarkson was and lets be real their team culture expects mediocrity and losses. Given his current state he can pound out the sixth man minutes all season.
Not sucking in preseason while playing for the Hornets? His nuthuggers dropped by to RAWR!!!! Lulz.... Reminds me of the Lakers preseason.... wakakakakaka
I didn't think they would be in the play-off picture before, but now definitely not. Might as well tank, trade some guys who do well mid-season and start over. Al Jefferson & Kemba as your core is just not going to bring you much success. Injury prone players, add MKG and it's a disaster waiting to happen and it has bugged them every single year.
