Agreed which is why I think the score matters .. if we are ahead or maybe even tied, give up the out for defense. When we are behind, I think you risk it

Yep, everyone else has seemingly obliged us today except the ****ing Rangers. Payback in the playoffs.

Bummer we couldn't play for the division but maybe this will loosen them up and get us home field for the WC.

Seems like we just won a WC spot

Would be nice to celebrate with a win though!

Welp the division is pretty much lost with the Rangers winning big

Still a win here would be huge to get the wild card game at home with Keuchel pitching Tuesday night

Sorry, but I have to believe Hinch is a moron, sorry, but he makes so many wrong moves in close games.

First he starts Lowrie, why????? Then he double switch with Valbuena when you know they are going to throw a lefty out there for that at bat only??? Why? For Qualls??? Why do you NEED Qualls to go more than 1 inning??? Stupid move. Your lineup had 3 guys hitting in a row that ARE NOT HITTING LATELY. (Lowrie, Castro and the pitcher) If you are going to double switch, then use Villar who is a switch hitter.

Hinch, what the **** are you doing???? We can still play the WC at home instead of NY

Fine with me, taking pitches is smarter than sac bunting there too.

They won't make it past the Blue Jays.

That offense will eat them alive.

    Really would rather have HC.

A single loss in the WC and the season is over, not nearly as good as a series.

Take care of buisness and face the Yankees in Houston where the Astros are far more formidable.

Still plenty of baseball left... going to have to win games late in the playoffs too.

He isn't a very good tactician and his third base coach is a windmill, but nothing we can do about it.

I assume Lowrie had good numbers against Ray, but Jesus, I would have much rather had Valbuena bat lefty on lefty then watch Lowrie swing a bat.

Lance McCullers actually touched the ball on bat.
