The rest of the season can be summed up like this: I do not care what they do today, I just want them to win the last game they play this season.
The only way Marwin plays tomorrow is instead of Lowrie, i hope Hinch does not make the error of playing him in LF and sitting Rasmus. The lefty is not one that dominates lefties (Ray) so the defense, plus Rasmus hitting lefties this year (.256 with and OPS over .850). I think the only question tomorrow is, who will play Marwin or Lowrie at 3b?
if he's a defensive downgrade from tucker, it's marginal. i'd also say the same with him vs. conger behind the plate. i'm pretty surprised he didn't catch a single game this year. i'd have taken over zero on that.
If HInch plays Gattis in LF today, with better options (RAsmus, Marwin) ahead, then he is insane. I think Hinch has done a nice job this past week, very few mistakes, but playing Gattis in LF in this big game would be a huge mistake. I would play Marwin over Lowrie at 3b, but i don't think he will do that. Lowrie is hitting .050 in last 7 games, .200 in last 15 and .198 last 30 games. Marwin .250 last 7, .281 last 15 games and .299 last 30. For next year, the way Valbuena has played the last 30 games, he sure looks better to play 3b than Lowrie.
wasn't recommending it. was recommending it over tucker though. i'm expecting marwin at 3rd and rasmus in left. he's not pulling rasmus from the lineup after the last couple games.
I'm glad you bring this point up because the diamondback announcers were saying that Rasmus never gets along with his teammates ! I was like huh !!!!!
For whatever it's worth, he has a reputation as standoffish/surly and uncoachable, the proverbial "clubhouse lawyer". It's what got him run out of both St. Louis and Toronto. “There might be a few more smiles with Colby gone.” -- Adam Lind in Spring Training To his credit, he's on record in May saying he's totally comfortable in Houston.
Has anything been reported recently on Marwin's left hand/wrist? I know it's been bothering him for the past couple of weeks.

Oh, that's nothing. This is Rodney Linares' handwriting. Hinch should yell and scream at his players more. Then they would play hard and not make stupid mistakes and we'd be much better.
