Was he supposed to run forward when he got hit and keep running into punches? I'm confused. I think it's absolutely fair to think Gus won that. Just like in the Jones fight. It could have gone either way and he is absolutely in the right if he feels he got robbed by the result.
Gus looked devastated. Second title fight that he took to 5 rounds and could rightly feel he won. He spoke about how down he was after the Rumble fight, I figure with the way the result of this fight went, add in the loss to Rumble and the tough loss to Bones, Gus might take some time off to consider if he will keep fighting. Love watching the guy fight and would've loved to have him win, throw the division into some craziness and have Bones take him on for the belt (if/when Bones returns). Anyway, great great fight. Fantastic performance by DCormier and Gus.
Maybe he can try to fight at the heavyweight division. Just a one time deal like when Benson Henderson fought in the welterweight division.
I was in the upper level and from my seat it did not look like he was running as much as keeping the fight in the center of the ring away from the cage.
he did do some literal running though...like turning his back completely and running..with the goal to keep away from the cage and keep the fight in the center..but still running

^I think there's a slight chance this could be more entertaining than last month's UFC 192 card with most of the fights ended in decisions.
Eh, perhaps just because of the name value, but all of those guys are in their 40's except dada whos 38. I'm personally not expecting much. Will watch though.
