Especially the guy going for his 5th straight game. If they need to win tomorrow, they don't have their closer
I don't think anybody is really rooting for the Angels. A rangers choke is fun and amusing, we can't help ourselves.
Remember the Angels went into this game winning 15 of the past 18 gms against the Rangers. We just need to take care of our own business. I would love for us to play the Rangers for the division.
I see your point, but is time for us to win games and not look for others to lose, that is the way it happened in september, october must be different, is win baby win
Nah... I'll regret it if we're losing to them on Monday at MMP... but till then, epic collapses (either way) that happen to your rivals are extremely engrossing to watch.
I understand that I'm in the very small minority, and I know which the "easier" path to the postseason is, but keeping the best possible outcome alive is always desirable, IMO.
This is actually bad news for the Astros. If the Astros will lose tonight, the Rangers has zero reason to play any regular starters tomorrow. So if the Rangers will lose, the Astros basically must win the next 2 games, but even then we are not 100% guaranteed for the division either. If the Rangers will win, we just need one game and guaranteed for a playoff game.
We have to win regardless of that outcome, but i would rather win the division instead of the wild card.
Can we just have the Angels play them instead? A change of scene/opponent will probably get the Rangers back to winning.
Got a lot of loser mentality in this thread. If we lose, if we lose, if we lose.. f**k that, don't lose, problem solved.
I'm not looking for the Astros to back their way in... they definitely need to win tonight regardless. If they keep on winning, and the Angels keep on winning, Astros are in regardless (except now they'll have a chance to win the division). So, like I said... neither good nor bad.
