$150 - 200 on my two pair. I have nice costas for fishing and water sports and then just some ray bans for going out in the day or driving. both are polarized and good brands so expensive but worth it in my opinion. Polarized makes a big difference.
Only on the internet can a conversation from 9 years ago come back to life and everyone picks it back up without skipping a beat.
I never buy expensive glasses because I care too much about scratching them or breaking them. I stick to cheap glasses instead.
I have a nice pair of Maui Jims and a few cheapies. I end up wearing my 8 dollar aviators more than anything.
Man, I totally didn't notice. I have Maui Jims myself. Who looks at the price tag? JK. I think they run 275-300 or something? They really are outstanding sunglasses.
For some reason, I have a thing for sunglasses. In addition to the Oakley's and Maui Jim's I mentioned from 2006, I've added: Two pairs of Ray Ban Wayfarers (one black and one blue/white) One pair of Ray Ban aviators One pair of Tom Fords that are kind of retro 80s looking
$1.08, for me. I'm too clumsy to own an expensive pair of sunglasses. I've lost 2 and sat on 1. It's awful, lol.
I will spend good money on nice polarized glass lenses ($150-200) but I am anal as hell about my sunglasses so my pairs last a long time. I got a scratch on my current pair but haven't felt the need to replace them yet. I got them 4-5 years ago. I cannot stand scratched lenses, and I must wear sunglasses when the sun is out or I look like I am crying my eyes out. My brother gets my hand-me-downs.
currently in the drawer: 1 pair revo's from 1999 -- $300 1 pair maui jim's from 2003 -- $200 1 pair persol from 2009 -- $230 1 pair julbo's from 2011 -- $180 1 pair persol from 2012 -- $250 1 pair st dupont's from 2013 -- $450 1 pair persol's from 2014 -- $190 1 pair tom ford's from 2014 -- $350 1 pair persol's from 2015 -- $220
Lost a pair of expensive ass Tom Fords about three years ago (probably paid close to $400 for them) when I was out and inebriated. From that point on I haven't spent more than $100 on a pair.
i actually don't like the ones i got as far as the optics go.....not nearly as clear and sharp as persol lenses
My Maui's are the best sunglasses ive ever owned. Used to buy alot of cheap ones, but that has stopped since I bought my pair.
Mine have always been free. I just follow real shady around. But I've meaning to talk to him about the cheap sunglasses he has been losing lately...
i have coupon for maui jim from years ago doing a catering event for them. it's 75% off of any pair on their website. i'll sell it for $40 if someone wants it.
I usually buy cheap ones, 2 for $5 at Five Below when they are on sale, $2 from China from eBay, or fake Oakleys when I go to Cozumel on a cruise
