Before his meltdowns the last 2 years, Kazmir was a lot better than Feldman. Would you rather have 20 starts with an ERA in the mid 2's, or 30 starts with an ERA around 4. A guy like Oberholtzer, or VV could probably give you very similar production to Feldman for those other 10 starts. Kazmir has all of the symptoms of a guy with a tired arm. Shut him down for the first month or 2, and maybe he's still going strong into October. This is of course dependent on what market value is for Kazmir, if it's still up around 4/70, than no way. But if 45/3 or something like that, it could be worth it. I imagine we could trade Feldman's salary pretty easily. It is a bit of a risk, one I think a team with deeper pockets will take.
