Ty Lawson on working with James Harden and what Steph Curry wont get away with again..

I think with Jet and Ty Ty we got the whole "media hog clip of da day" down pat.....me luv dem runnin da smak ! yessshhhhh Go Rockets !

 

No lack of confidence in this guy, including his nonchalance about the DUIs. Confidence cuts both ways, people. Either he's going to be great for us, or he's going to get busted again and be gone within the year. I'm not sure the former is more likely than the latter.

I echo this concern because he's admittedly (not in this article but his fb page) made more mistakes than just these two. I want to believe his time in Malibu was a wakeup call because he was surrounded by people whose lives were practically ruined by alcohol.

 

It was revised down to 12 by the NBA. One turnover was wrongly attributed to him.

 

That is probably true. I'm just staying positive and keep thinking he will be great, unless proven otherwise

 

Thompson on Ty, Iggy on Harden, Curry on Ariza, Barnes on Dmo and D.Green on Howard.

Or Green on Dmo and Bogut on Howard if Barnes is out.

But we also have our small lineup where Ariza plays PF. If they hide Curry on Ariza, than D.Green will have to guard on of the smaller and faster guys. Not sure if he's capable of guarding Ty or Harden.

 

So did Ty text Harden before or after his second DUI? I'm curious if he at least somewhat purposely destroyed his own trade value.

Lawson
Beverley
Harden
Ariza
DMo/TJones

 

That stuck out to me.

 

And i'll be laughing my butt off the whole time watching Steph run around like a clueless child playing pickup with the big boys for the first time

 

Ty Lawson said nothing all that significant. We all know that Jason Terry and Matthew Dellavedova were relatively low usage guys who didn't really do much off the dribble, thus allowing the opposing PG (be it Curry or anyone else) to not work that hard on the other end. We also know that Lawson does stuff off the dribble, which means whoever guards him needs to expend more energy.

 

Not that simple. Ariza has 5 inches in height and almost a foot in wingspan over Curry. The Rockets will just get Ariza to cut to the basket....Curry won't have the size or strength to stop him in the paint.

But lets say you do that. None of Iggy, Thompson, Barnes or Livingston have the quickness to stay in front of Lawson. Curry is actually their best option.

Thompson played terrible for the first 3 games of the WCF. Why? Because they were having him guard Harden one on one. The Rockets will try to do the same thing to Curry using Lawson. Force him to play defense, then sub in Beverley to hound him on the other end. In fact, going small may work against them if both Beverley and Lawson are on the court at the same time.

 

in that case the weakest defender will be put on Bev.
