I could be wrong, but I don't see Kazmir getting an offer like Shields got. Kazmir has had health issues, does not pitch the innings that Shields does and Kazmir also has serious arm issues. Samardzija can get a longer deal but the sense in Chicago that because of his age, he will pursue a 1 year deal to reestablish himself and enter free agency again for a long term deal.
Luhnow with questionable trades and unprotections. Let's not forget JD Mtz waived. Kaz looks to have a dead arm
Scotty made his hometown hate him in a matter of 2 months. Rather impressive by him. Good luck to the team that overpays for his services because it's clear that he burns out towards the end of the season. This isn't an anomaly, this is a trend. A trend that I wish Luhnow would've placed more importance on when making the trade with the As.
i didn't want to believe but it's been looking that way. when we made the trade my reaction was, how did he get this good after being on the skeeter? sell his soul?
This is a trade you make 10 times out of 10. Very unfortunate that Kazmir has turned into maybe the worst pitcher on our roster, including all of the bullpen doofuses.
