The dispatcher's comments had no legal impact on whether Zimmerman was legally allowed to pursue Martin. So that comment is as relevant as saying "if Trayvon hadn't gone to buy Skittles he wouldn't have been killed".
i think a kid was being aggressive and ended up stupidly confronting the wrong person. that person ended up being a violent douchebag that most likely is racist and doesn't like black people.
You say there is no proof to that story.....but there is no proof that the story is false. You know what Zimmerman says, you know that the evidence supports that claim in that there were no signs of any wounds on Martin aside from the gunshot wound.....and yet you want to reject that anyway in favor of something you dreamed up. I think you're right, we should end this. By now it's clear that no matter what the facts or evidence shows, you want to believe the version of events you invented in your head and I'll never accept that baseless account of things. If you had anything at all to support your theory that it's all a lie and Martin didn't attack Zimmerman then that would be one thing and the conversation would have a chance to progress, but as it stands it's a lot like arguing with someone that thinks that 1+1=7 and no one can convince them otherwise.
So there is no proof the story is false means that the story is then real. Yes, that makes sense and is in no way filling a gap that is not there. This is a easy game to play. Zimmerman did indeed grab Trayvon first, you can't disprove it. So it is now true. What kind of brain dead logic is that? There was no evidence that Tryavon attacked Zimmerman. The people that think this is the case undoubtedly so (When it couldn't even be proved in court) are usually revealing their true bias thoughts on the issue. Your true bias is showing through, especially how you jumped into this thread to defend Zimmerman from being called a racist.
Also that it's fine to just retweet the body of a dead person because that person deserves to be dead...crazy stuff. It's illegal to stalk people. Period. End of story. If Trayvon was more mature he could have called the police and reported this grown man following him and it could have been classified as stalking. If you find the shoe on the other foot and you are being followed by a black dude I'm sure you'll think "This is legally fine and I'm perfectly safe..."
And if he decides to attack that black dude for keeping an eye on him then I won't be upset if it leads to him getting shot. Violent assholes who attack others are effectively begging for someone to end their life, it's not a tragedy when someone finally obliges. Fortunately if that were to happen, you wouldn't have a bias against the black dude, so we'd agree.
I think it's awesome that after 43 months and 10,408 posts you all are still having the exact same conversation. That's some serious dedication, kudos. Sincerely, Teddy Bridgewater
This is the part I'd like you to substantiate. I haven't found anything in any of the reports which would indicate Martin made it back to his house.
It goes directly to Zimmerman's state of mind. He was so intent on stalking Martin that he was willing to go against the dispatcher's admonition not to follow.
Heh, how long did the Vince Young nonsense go on? When there are people who want to believe something that goes against evidence and fact it can be a REALLY long conversation if they stick to their guns when it comes to their baseless positions.
And yet you fully believe the story told by Zimmerman, who told the story he had to in order to cover his a$$.
I tried to go back and look up where I read that, but I couldn't find it so maybe it's not accurate. If not, it means that Martin was hiding somewhere down the path before popping out and confronting Zimmerman. Judging by Zimmerman's statement to the 911 dispatcher, "I don't know what he's doing, I don't want to approach him, personally" it's EXTREMELY unlikely that Zimmerman confronted Martin. What we do know is that Martin had sufficient time to make it back to his house if that's what he wanted to do, but since I can't find any evidence of him traveling that far, it's possible that he just went part of the way and hid in wait to confront Zimmerman instead.
Again, there's no reason NOT to believe it. I don't 100% buy the whole story, but most of it checks out. I don't think Martin tried to go for his gun necessarily, but I do think that Martin confronted him and attacked him based on everything we know about all involved.
Educate yourself. I can't deal with your ignorance -- it's clear you're biased here. Zimmerman was legally allowed to follow Martin. You might want to take a step back and collect yourself. You've let bias overcome your thinking.
