No... but I'd rather put in a hitter who has the ability to hit left-handed without being injured, especially in an RBI situation. The other game in question played out like it did because it was already determined that Marwin was going to stay in to play 1B, as Carter was PH for by Rasmus (who it the HR).
Just some bad hitting that inning. Probably have to see Smith for another inning because of those quick ABs. Can't even fight off pitches to raise the pitch count.
They need to hurry the game up. They should know in advance if a reliever will be switched if the batter switches. No more useless warm up pitches then. They just take those players out without waiting forever.
