I doubt Tucker plays there the rest of the game. I'm sure Marwin could have bunted there... but then again, Tucker's gotten so infrequent irregular AB's lately, that its not the worst thing in the world to get him in a game in a low-pressure RBI situation. For Tucker to truly be utilized as an effective PH weapon, he's going to need to get some more regular AB's... its tough enough for veterans to make a difference with infrequent appearances, can't imagine its any easier for a rookie. Not really going to go crazy analyzing this move... of course wasn't anticipating the guy who's already "mailed it in" to tie the game there.
Carter not getting the runner over from 2nd really cost us. If he can't bunt they should have put someone in that could
Fires pitched well but just a couple of poor pitches and here we are tied up. Let's get one back this inning.
So, every pitcher that injures one shoulder... should just be automatically able to pitch at a professional level with the other one? If he's never batted right-handed against a right-handed pitcher (or not since little league), what are your honest expectations? I know he could have bunted there... but the Astros were intent on playing for a big inning (like they've done consistently all year... whether right or wrong).
