If China becomes embroiled in Iraq-like conflicts, it wouldn't be a surprise if Chinese was down there too. The whole Carson thing, while can be dismissed in typical right-wing nuttiness, does point out the obvious: There won't be a Muslim president anytime soon. Which isn't that big an issue compared to how we treat other people and other nations. Substantive progress >>>> symbolic progress.
Well the poll isn't asking if we dislike them exactly. Disliking people for religious beliefs isn't cool. But its not exactly surprising that we wouldn't vote for a failed ideology like socialism. Actually it's the scientific answer.
SOME are necessary. We aren't going to take turn fixing the highways so the state or feds owning and controlling some facets of life is normal, but they don't own it all which is what socialism is about....
religious beliefs are a choice. Judge people by their choices. you wouldn't dislike someone who believed he should kill all infidels?

What's interesting is that Democrats equally support Evangelicals and Atheists. Republicans hate Atheists.
