I bet you didn't even read it. Or watch the game, for that matter. Oh well, I didn't expect a decent opinion from you anyway.
I will disclaim my complaints on the officiating by saying that UT has to move the ball much better, especially in the second half, and they just can't make huge special teams mistakes like they've made at the end of games. I agree that Hutchins was wretched on the offensive line, adjustments were not made, and WRs had way too many drops. Here's what I noticed in regards to officiating: Roughing the passer on UT negating an interception, illegal forward pass penalty negating a touchdown, defensive holding resulting in a first down on third down, unsportsmanlike conduct on Strong (debatable, but it's the 4th quarter of a tight game), giving fumble recovery to Ok State when Texas was on the ball first, all around it, and recovered it (Hughes, I believe), another roughing the passer on Texas, calling Texas for phantom holding 3 times, ignoring Ok State's blatant holding on the edge, calling pass interference inconsistently.
Those refs were beyond bad.... So bad one could make the argument that foul play was involved. Very very fishy.
I did read it. Watched all but the first 6 minutes of the game. It wasn't the best officiated game ever, no doubt. Many bad calls, and a there were many that went against Texas. "Corruption"? "Backwater league"? "Fixed football game"? Please...
Surely you can separate the parts where the guy is obviously venting and the parts where he makes some decent points.

Record not reflective of the team. Game 1 we didn't start Heard. Game 2 was a legit win. Games 3 and 4 were tossups. We are better than we were last year. And now games are actually fun to watch because Heard is a prodigy.
Eh, not really. Maybe at QB, but the defense really isn't as good as last season I'd say. Also, special teams is utter crap which wasn't the case last season. I think the run game aside from Heard is pretty much non-existent as well. It just seems like they're better than last season because through 4 games, 3 of them have had the QB position filled with someone who can actually play QB worth a damn. That's something Texas hasn't had in 3-4 years now. This team needs a lot of changes in the talent dept. The defense especially is pretty pathetic, and it's inexcusable from this coaching staff.
we played way too conservative at the end. they should have to tried to win the game at the end, not play for overtime. i hated that decision, what if he does punt and they run it back?? in heard we trust, well trust him to throw the damn ball
He honestly can't throw...know a couple of players on the team and they feel the same way lol. I do wish we would test that ability out more in games though, but he floats so many balls that aren't (fortunately for us) intercepted. I don't feel like he trusts his arm either; his first move is always to take off. I think it comes from experience though since he's a redshirt freshman. Worst thing is that he takes way too many sacks. I remember we were in field goal range and he took at 22 yard sack back to the 50 - that was huge since we played so conservative down the stretch. Those potential 3 points lost and some horrible penalties really screwed us. Special teams and defense is so much worse this year. I feel like we can't get a third down stop to save our life.
If indeed that flag was thrown for the contact, that ref deserves to be suspended. He veered into Strong. Terrible, terrible officiating Saturday.
Yeah after seeing that video I take back what I said about Strong's penalty yesterday. The ref instigated that, and I hope he's severely reprimanded. F**k the refs.
