that has always bothered me about beisbol. they shouldn't allow you to use your hands to lean. If you can jackie chan your way up the wall, then that's fair game.

Lowrie is not hitting, but against this lefty, who struggles big time vs righties, i would had used him, play Marwin in LF and CArter 1b.

Lowrie hits .278 vs lefties with an OPS close to .950

Gotta win today. Even if we can't come back in the division, we need to make sure the Rangers are pushed to play hard in that last series against the Angels. We lose today, and they may be resting guys and saving their energy for the playoffs giving the Angels some easy wins.

Yeah I don't understand why Lowrie would sit vs LHP. Glad to see Carter in the lineup.

Just read the SI piece on Correa... really amazing to read about his journey and his tireless effort to be the best player to ever play the game (as naturally gifted as he looks... it all was the result of a tremendous amount of hard work that started at age freakin 6).

As great has we all know he's been... is it possible that he's still been under-appreciated?

Lost in the shennanigans about this being the "typical Houston collapse", and how some are literally throwing a hissy-fit about another "wasted chance" (despite 10 years of mediocrity to awfulness), and how "nothing is guaranteed" (many are foolishly scared that this could be the last best chance the Astros have)... people need to recognize what is in front of us right now, and what will very likely be in front of us for the next decade... a strong possibility for one of the best ever to play this game.

He's going to outlast many of the current Astros, the manager, and likely some key members of the front office... probably outlast some of the fair-weather fans here as well... and I've thoroughly enjoyed watching this kid play at an amazing level for just over half a season, and look forward to seeing him possibly even get better (scary thought).

This team is just incapable of a quick first inning.

He's certainly paid well enough to expect close to this sort of production.

This is just painful to watch. Can we just get an early lead for once?

    Edit: Spoke too late
