I think the majority of the board have accepted the same fate: if we can just play in the wildcard game, at least we will have salvaged something this season. I hate the concept of it, but it's still making the postseason, which is a huge accomplishment, especially for this team this season (coming from where we have been). Who knows, maybe we get hot and make some noise on top of that.
I know, Hinch is getting blame for the pen sucking but he has tried everything. There's nothing he can do. Gonna have to address this in the offseason, try some of these stating prospects out of the pen. The playoffs are a complete crap shoot, if we can get there I firmly believe we can win it all, or we can get swept. There's no result that would shock me. Getting there, that's the problem.

lol, ok Well, i don't mind that emotion, things like that can do 1 of 2 things, either they struggle after that (for us it can't go worse) or fire up the team, i think this is going to help. We are going to end the season wining 7 of last 8.
Agreed. Plus if somehow we have DK going in he game at Yankee stadium. I just want to play in the ALDS. I don't care if we get swept at that point.
oh, i knew how that felt the 3 years prior to this. the agony of opening and refreshing and finding new illegal streams is thankfully a distant memory.
We wouldn't be here with out those two And Luhnow tried to get a true closer but Robertson and Miller weren't interested in coming here He signed a group of set up men as his best option. Would be great to find a true closer and have those guys as set up men next year, pen would be very strong Love the win today, all the crap about how it isn't the same because of 9th is comical. I guess we won because I skipped watching this game on purpose out of frustration. Glad to see we finally won one! I'll gladly skip all remaining games if it means getting in the playoffs. lol
Getting to the playoffs period would be an accomplishment given the teams record in September. Also the organization didn't expect to challenge for the division this year.
