They did last night when it didn't matter. How's that for irony?

This fruit was not sweet. Not sweet in the least. This fruit was a ******* tomato and we just took a huge bite of it.

We need a closer, after that, these 2 relievers are going to be great.
I like Gregerson a lot as a set up reliever, and Neshek in early innings, or to pitch against a righty at later innings.

i doubted. right now the 2012 astros could score endlessly on this shaky bullpen. it has little to do with the rangers and more with our pitching going into shambles for the past 32 days.

Astros win but damn it was not sweet in the end. I wanted that 9-4 win but the bullpen as always has to choke it in the end.

I still don't see how if the Astros make the playoffs this bullpen can actually be effective in a series or a 1 game wild card game.

Yeah they have been miscast all year and its gradually caught up with them. A real closer could settle this mess.

Thing is Luke never should have been in there. How many times have you seen it before. Non Save situations for closers is like rolling rigged dice. There's really nothing to gain from it. Yes. the bullpen has been stinking it up, but decisions like that don't help.

When you are at 98.7% odds to make the playoffs and you don't, it certainly deserves to be right up there with the Oilers in Houston Sports history.

Long way to go before they actually don't make the playoffs and I still believe they do. The match ups are certainly in their favor.

But letting them and Hinch off the hook because of where you expected them to be to start the season is ridiculous.

Time to go on a win streak and put all this to bed anyway.

No lead is safe...None...we needed Rasmus' bomb...just take a moment and think about that...sick

Giving up 3 runs in the 9th by the closer...This Texas team owns us mentally. And that is a monstrous advantage.

If we make it and pitch the same way from the pen... it'll be a one and done unless we go off in the runs department.

Outside that... if we even win that game. I don't see how we survive a ALDS.

Anybody read Luke's lips? "You better not bring your pansie, non managering a$$ across that line!" JK, but it does kinda show his lack of respect for Hinch.

I don't care if we lose the WC game, i just want to make it to the playoffs, after that, we are playing with house money.

Damn. And Gregerson is usually money. Hats off to the Rangers for making it closer than it was. Keuchel has been dominant at home, so it'll be interesting to see how he fares against that line-up. A win is a win.

With Keuchel going tomorrow you have to feel good. King Felix going for Seattle tonight. This is a great chance to get some cushion on the WC and try to make a last ditch effort at the division.

actually this is the one instances I was ok with it...he needed work, and he was supposed to be sharp in the event his services are needed tom...

Now got to hope that Keuchel can throw a complete game tom...

The worst part is hinch has tried everyone and everything in that bullpen and they all have failed. There is literally nobody to turn to.
