You can't even hate the rangers. They are playing extremely well when it counts while we regress in important games. Growing pains I guess.

If we don't make the playoffs I would consider blowing up half the roster. Nobody has shown any amount of leadership or desire to win in the lineup or in the starting rotation. We can do better. At least get mad. Get fired up. Nobody is fighting for it. Nobody wants to be in the game... except for Correa, Altuve, and Keuchel. And Gattis at least gets mad when he screws up. Gomes has heart but he's gone awol. I just want to shake this team.

Yeah. Any other team, and I would be more depressed, but that lineup is playing really well. They're a better team and hopefully the Stros get to that point someday. It'll be worth the wait.

The real problem with this team in September has been the bullpen. It has the worst ERA in the MLB in the month, I believe around 6.00. When you are 0-9 in one run games in the month, that's on the bullpen, as well the atrocious RISP batting average. It also doesn't help that Kazmir has been awful, Keuchel had his worst start ever, and the Rangers own us in general. I like the majority of our 25-man roster, but whether we hold on and make the playoffs, or continue to fall out of the race, we need to make some upgrades. One more quality SP, a dominate closer (move Luke Greg to 8th inning), and a huge bat, like a Cespedes for example. Hopefully AJ Reed is real deal and we don't have to bring back Valbuena or Chris Carter.
