Sorry, I thought it would post the whole strip, not just the first picture. Here was the intended strip: http://adam4d.com/whos-the-bigot/
Okay, well the live-action version has felony arrests for consensual sex and Matt Shepherd's autopsy photos. Delusional hand-drawings redefining bigotry to placate and legitimize Bob Jones and Fred Phelps are the passive aggressive tip of a far more hateful and violently oppressive iceberg.
I don't really think its simply about redefinition of marriage. That would be such a trivial objection. There has to be more to it then mere disagreement over definitions. I think its a belief that a healthy society requires traditional families consisting of a father and mother raising their children. There is a fear that an increase in non-traditional families (gay couples getting married and raising children) will have major negative consequences for society at large.
Dealt with in 1945. [rquoter] Philosopher Karl Popper defined the paradox in 1945 in The Open Society and Its Enemies Vol. 1. [rquoter] "Less well known is the paradox of tolerance: Unlimited tolerance must lead to the disappearance of tolerance. If we extend unlimited tolerance even to those who are intolerant, if we are not prepared to defend a tolerant society against the onslaught of the intolerant, then the tolerant will be destroyed, and tolerance with them." [/rquoter] He concluded that we are warranted in refusing to tolerate intolerance: "We should therefore claim, in the name of tolerance, the right not to tolerate the intolerant." In 1971, philosopher John Rawls concludes in A Theory of Justice that a just society must tolerate the intolerant, for otherwise, the society would then itself be intolerant, and thus unjust. However, Rawls also insists, like Popper, that society has a reasonable right of self-preservation that supersedes the principle of tolerance: "While an intolerant sect does not itself have title to complain of intolerance, its freedom should be restricted only when the tolerant sincerely and with reason believe that their own security and that of the institutions of liberty are in danger." [/rquoter] You can be as intolerant as you want, so long as you keep it to yourself and don't mess with our tolerance. To that degree, we will tolerate your intolerance. Nobody's forcing you to marry a dude. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paradox_of_tolerance
World perception of a Christian or biblical? Anyone can spread love, but its when you spread truth too, thats when youre a real Christian.
The OP's theme is to post simple cartoons that absolutely pigeonholes your own views. Bad ettiquette bro.
Any comic, media, or show with a message would pigeonhole anyone's views if they are against it. Is your post serious? This comic can't argue back with you obviously, its only to cause discussion and maybe open your mind to certain issues, misconceptions.
Biblical and historically not accurate depiction of Christianity. Indeed, sex and homosexuality and marriage were of little, if any concern. You can choose to follow a brand of Christianity that emerged far later, but it isn't consistent with What is known of Jesus or his earliest followers.
These are so stupid. I'm sure there are stupid anti xtian comics somewhere on the internet so I guess these are the equal and opposite. Still, they are really bad. I'll agree to not post ****ty atheist comics if you agree to not post these, capisce?
