While nothing is worth 1200 people dying, I hope this marks the end of Blatter's reign of terror. He needs to be ousted and put on trial immediately for the havoc he's caused.

Nope. I'm saying that the U.S. and A., and any other country with peeps bashing the corruption and the choice of Qatar as host will still watch it.

I think that's what dumbartonbass is saying on his argument for me NOT bashing FIFA or QATAR for their actions, but I'm saying that no matter how much of a boycott or bashing he wants me to do, he's still going to watch the Games no matter what happens. And so will the rest of the world.

I do think FIFA is playing with fire pissing off all these top clubs who have SO much invested in their players.

What if Western Europe banded together and just pulled out of the 2022 WC all together?

All the top players in the world play in Western Europe. Just is amazing FIFA is willing to piss all over them.

Would love to see a boycott, but highly doubt it. Euro and American countries should drop out of FIFA, the corruption is incredible and it will never change because of all the small, poor countries where officials can be bribed and rich countries like Qatar, Russia, etc that have the money and influence to bribe everyone.

Wow, this is ludicrous even for you, swoly. Just stop.

The only boycott that would work would be from the sponsors. That could be driven by fan outrage, and there's still a lot of time until Quatar, but sadly i guess that's unlikely.

Oh, and there's a special level of dante's hell for the likes of Sepp Blatter.

And yes, swoly, I know it's (mis)spelled "Qatar".

Why, 'cuz I tell it like it is? Y'all won't admit y'all are still going to watch and nothing will be done. Keep posting away and curse at the organization you're still going to support by watching.

Good Lord, dude, read my original post the kicked all of this off.

You are pretending that if we want to watch the games, we aren't allowed to complain about the organization running them. Did you have the same stupid opinion about the NFL this year after Ray Rice? Or the NBA after the Donaghy scandal? You can condemn the actions of the organization while still watching the actual athletes play the game.

There is no way you're actually this dense.

LOLs. Nope, BAD analogy, sir.

I didn't post any thread or anything in any thread condemning an organization for what their players did. Besides, Ray Rice got suspended for his actions AND Donaghy got put in jail. :p

That's WAY different than if FIFA is found guilty in a court of law, which hasn't been proven happened. Good try!

Until it's proven that this is true, I'll keep watching and not crying about it on a forum. OK, mister?

I don't know why y'all continue to engage him.

That said, if I was in a situation where I was banned from a section of CF and constantly see posts celebrating my banning, I'd probably take the hint and move on. That's just me, though.

"You must spread some reputation around before giving it to leroy again."

I should've taken your advice, man. I now see what you mean.

I'll remember this thread when y'all are celebrating the beginning of the tournament.

"It's such a bad organization!!! Ugh! I hate it! Oh, game on!"
    Thanks, leroy420.

FIFA Announces DATES for QATAR 2022. LOLs! November. hahahahahaha

I find this hilarious! They hope all the leagues will change their schedules and release their stars. Those seasons are going to be screwed EVERYWHERE around the world. Oh, man...

What a mess this creates. Only the leagues that play a summer schedule should manage to be unaffected...but even the MLS will be to an extent as the playoffs run into early Dec. They might have to start the season a month earlier to avoid it (though they've never avoided it before so why start in 2022?).

This is a big mistake on the viewership side, too. Part of the reason the World Cup gets such good ratings in the US is because it's in the summer. Kids are home during the day to watch all of the games and they only have baseball as an alternative. A November to December schedule has kids in school and going up against the NFL, college football, and the NBA. Yeah, with the time difference, it's unlikely to have too much bleed but are they really going to force FOX to show Sunday games? Qatar is 8 hours ahead. That means evening games in Qatar would be kickoff time for the NFL here.

It's why Sepp gave FOX the rights to the 26' WC without bidding. So they wouldn't get sued for breech of contract. ESPN/ABC is super pissed.

    [buzzzzzzzz] WRONG!

You can see how you will be wrong when the games are in the wee hours of the morning in Russia in 2018.

In Qatar in 2022, they maybe will be a little later in the morning, but ALL in the morning.

The World Cups are not always during the time the U.S. kids are awake.
