Yeah, she'd lose her voice. I thought that was obvious. So long as she's clerk, papers will write about her objections on grounds of religious freedom. The courts will deal with her suits regarding her civil liberties. She has a (short) lever to try to impact public policy. If she quits, the papers and the courts go away and she has no leverage anymore. It's not different from a cafeteria sit-in or chaining yourself to a tree. It's a form of civil disobedience. And, she's willing to go to jail for it, which I can respect. She won't win anything, and imo she shouldn't, but I don't blame her for trying. I do blame Kentucky for not impeaching her. But she has no end-game. She'll eventually either have to give up or else be so annoying she has to be removed. Obviously, the marriages will be issued regardless.

    Davis gets her book deal

Sources are saying that Kim Davis, the Rowan County clerk who made headlines for refusing same-sex couples marriage licenses, has signed a seven figure book deal with Forever Faith publishing and her memoir I’m a Survivor will be released just in time for Christmas.

It’s being reported that up to a dozen publishing houses were involved in a bidding war for Kim’s debut memoir and that she had turned down even bigger money deals to sign with a Christian based publisher.

    I'd bet money that she probably won't 'write' a 4th of it. . .

I wish I could get a 7 figure book deal for not doing my job.

Nobody writes their own memoir, this is how freelance journalists and book editors pay their rent.

Our only hope is that Heaven and Hell are real and Kim's bigotry is punished by eternal damnation.

I'm glad to hear she has a book deal. This gives her an opportunity to take her voice to a different medium. She can now quit her job without concern of losing her 'voice,' nor worrying about how she'll pay her rent. Some segment of the population can feel satisfied reading 200 pages of her struggle, and the rest of us can carry on with our lives.
