Actually, scratch Wilson. He can be a super sub aka Solskjaer

I think Januzaj will come back better and stronger and United's front four could be.

    ------------------Martial------------------
    Depay----------Perreira-----------Januzaj

Anyway that's me thinking too far ahead and being optimistic.

Yeah, as you said in your follow up, Januzaj is the more likely piece of the future. Could be a dangerous group for a long time if they all come good for the club.

Rodgers looks like his time has been up for a while. It makes sense why the club has kept him after giving him all the money to spend, there is usually an adjustment period for new players. In this case though, Rodgers doesn't look to be trending up in any way. He has spent all the club's money trying to bring in attacking players to supplement what they lost with Suarez, and one after another they all come up way short of that. Instead, he should have been focusing on the club's biggest weakness which is the defense. Skrtel and Lovren are a joke of a defensive partnership for a club of Liverpool's size and prestige. They deserve better than that, and with the money they have spent, they would have been able to bring in one, if not two quality center backs. He did make some additions on the outside of the defense, but the middle has been largely ignored.

Believe it or not, United could go top in 2 hrs time

Unpredictability of the PL when most thought City would run away with it even moreso after the De Bruyne and Otamendi signing. Love the EPL

Coman and Costa were such amazing transfers, already making you forget about Ribery and Robben.

I'm really happy with their performance so far, but let's see them do it in the big matches and take us to the CL final like RibRob did first. I'm still expecting RibRob to play ahead of them when it matters. But yes, good transfers.

And Basti very successful at Man U, leader on and off the pitch.

So what have you been doing with all of that transfer money then Brendan? Embarrassing quote from him.

Indeed, very unbecoming for a LFC manager. The "early stages" he speaks of is basically "hey give Suarez the ball and iso," which even McHale can do. He has proven only one thing, in that he is the ultimate mid-table manager.

    The players he bought:

    http://www.lfchistory.net/Transfers/ByManager/25-1

Only Coutinho and Sturridge are of notable mentions. We still have yet to see how Can turns out. All the other transfers point to Rodgers being absolutely clueless.

It's been evident that the guy can't coach, nor can he evaluate talent. He can't recruit. So he's only good for being a clown at this ponit.

Just silly that he has spent nearly £300,000 to bring in players and then complains that he doesn't have a talented enough group of players.

Like I said before, a club like Liverpool, given their history, deserve much better than this.

Don't hate on the great Pep Rodgers! I think he deserves a contract extension.

Nice to see us top but it's been a relatively weak schedule so far. Now is where the real test starts. In the next 3 PL match days, United play Arsenal away, Everton away and City at home. I'd be happy with 7 points from those 3 games ;)
