My wife also had a Wolfburg. She loved it, but yeah, lots of issues.

Owned 3 VW's. Never had any issues besides regular wear and tear.

But that other guy who sold contaminated peanut butter got 28 years. Go figure.

The fact you bring this up makes me think you have no grasp of how big of a deal this is.

No one can possibly know. All of the cars run lean instead of fattening up to burn the NOx. Just don't get the recall done, if you live in Texas you will be good to go.

What do you consider wear and tear and long did you have them?

Of course not every VW is terrible..but the general consensus is that they are not that reliable compared to something like a Lexus.

Gotta think that will be problematic for people who bought into clean diesel being actually clean, right? There's no good solution for people who invested in 20-30K on these things.

How in the world is VW going to fix all of those cars? This really is one of the dumbest massive scandals i've heard of in a while -- Enron level shenanigans..?

So has it been determined yet if this only impacted the US models? If it's their Euros as well, they are screwed.

From what I've been reading, it affects a few million of Audi's cars, but most are in Europe/overseas. Only a few thousand in the US.
