My opinion is the Astros are done. They've blown September. There's no reason to think they will turn it around. There's no reason to think we will sweep Texas or even win two of those games.
As bad as they have played this month, at the end of tonight, they will still be the second wild card.
looking bleak ladies and gents...Well yet another pro sports team from Houston that finds ways to choke... Besides, why the heck was the game so early...on a Wednesday? WTF?
Unreal ... What a total collapse this has been. Now a sweep against the Rangers is "almost" a necessity, and I think we all know how likely that is.
I can only how frustrated the astros players are right now loosing this way over and over again in the mid to late innings...like clock work. Both games were obviously games the Astros SHOULD'VE won
Sure looks like it. The good news is that there are 9 games left. The bad news is that there's no reason to believe we will even take a game off the rangers, or suddenly win a road series or two, considering the way we've been witnessing them handling pressure. It's depressing and it's become pure torture to watch. I thought this was supposed to be fun.
Ugh I'm more depressed than anything. It's not like I can rely on the Texans for my pro sports fix. Rockets don't start for another month?
I think we end up 3 and 6 with 83 wins and 79 loses, not good enough for the playoffs. I have no idea why this bullpen is so bad as they have not throw many innings as a group, i think we are top 5 in fewest innings pitched, as we have great starters that go deep. They have no excuse to be struggling so much. I think the only way to solve it is by getting a great closer, and moving Gregerson to the 8th innning.. Luthnow knew this and thats why he went after Kimbrel and Champman. Maybe the guy we needed to go after was Jepsen.
If energy is neither created nor destroyed, then the Astros about to get hot! Sizzle it. Sizzle it baby.
