Clear example right here. So you use a video that you had nothing to do with and no absolute clue of the details going into it and it makes you believe you're some TJ expert. You don't know the purpose of that session, you don't know what happened the day before or the day after. Do you know what happened right after the video ended? No. You're just another armchair quarterback like the next person. It's also telling that you fail to acknowledge he's in the gym working to get better but that's expected.
Stopped reading after the first sentence. Your hate for TJ is disgusting. In what world would TJ get waived?
I don't think he's Farried. But offensive rebounding is the stat that translates the best all I'm saying. If someone rebounds in college chances are that he should rebound in the pros too esp offensive rebounding. Finishing on the other hand is much more risky because we don't knwo if he can finish over the length of NBA defenders, if he played bullyball if he can do it too etc. I am not Harrell expert anyway lol. But if you are going to rely on Harrell being your backup PF this year, then say goodbye to championship. I don't want to be harsh on the guy but PF is the second most deep position and where most teams have their strengths. Unless Harrell surprises everyone I don't htink he can man up the position next year. This is just my opinion. I agree with all the rest. But the problem is the timing. the Rockets were lucky in timing in getting Harden in trade and next year immediately luring Howard but they are unlucky now with the timing. It's all due to the cap rise and a very very crap FA class that they will both get paid . And it's insane to pay so much for one position. But this bag of chips propositions are only made by Jones haters, and the people who by mistake listen to them and don't know better.
Why do you guys insist on replying to those two idiots? They are both garbage posting trolls find ways to trash T-Jones at every turn to try and provoke responses. Just block them and the board will be a much better place for them. When a person spews D-Mo's j*zz every time they fart and nothing but bile about T-Jones comes up every they open their mouths, you should know what kind of douchebags they are.
I wonder if the infestation of Jones fans will move to the Dish once the Rockets get rid of him....I think it would be best for the forum and the team.
Well said. And both are just plain clueless haters. The Garm would be a better place if those two weren't in here.
I won't bother responding directly to BBholic. He is on my ignore list and I highly recommend everyone else put him on their ignore list as well, as he constantly drags threads into the dumps with his constant need to be right. The amount of bull**** and goal post moving he will put together to try and maintain some fantasy that he is some sort of basketball guru, is frankly embarrassing. There are things, in basketball, you can know to be true, with relative absolute certainty, and there are things you cannot. We know for certain Harden is our best player. We have the data, we have the results, we have everything we need to make that determination without much controversy. The Jones/Dmo debate does not fit in that bucket. We simply do not have the observable data to make absolute determinations on who is better player, better fit, etc. To speculate one or the other is fine, but to speak in absolutes, as Holic does, is blatantly incorrect, and it unveils his bias/agenda to have to be right. It really comes down to one condecending and d******d statement: Unfortunately for Mr. BasketballHolic, I also do my homework, and he is just plain wrong. For starters, Terrence Jones was able to play 2 games last season with the starters, the first two of the season, and then injuries kicked in all across the board and the starting lineup changed numerous times. We basically have no data on how Jones performs with the starters from last year, making the exercise futile from the get go. Any objective observer, would admit as much, and move on, accepting that no such argument can be made either way, as I have done. But an agenda driven poster, would take the lack of data as an opportunity to try and make an argument. I showed similar starter data (with Terry as a starter in place of Bev) in favor of Jones, Holic dismissed my sample size as non useful (while, hilariously, being absolutely fine with broadly claiming Dmo was much better with the starters last year with just a two game sample size). Furthermore he pounced on the data implying the competition level was a huge factor and even suggesting I should comb the popcorn machine as he has done. Of course he doesn't realize the popcorn machine archive is broken and its seemingly impossible to use that anymore. What little data we do have, which closely simulates the starting lineup, which is a true apples to apples comparison is both Jones and Dmo, respectively in a lineup alongside Terry, Harden, Ariza and Howard, shows Jones as superior. Now its true, we only have limited minutes of lineup data for each group, but it is the best available data we have. First chart here just to show the headings: Not only is it Jones, its Jones by a very clear margin. And in regards to his argument about competition of opponent, Jone's lineup data was against LAL (24), UTA (15), BOS (19), PHI (30), OKC (6th), SAS (2nd), SAS (2nd), CHA (21), UTA (15). Average power ranking of opponent = 16.75 Dmo's opponents are impossible to find, but an educated guess based on injuries would be: SAS (2nd), NYK (22), NOP(8), MIN (29). Average power ranking of opponent = 15.25 TLDR Version: 1.) Basketballholic is full of **** as usual. 2.) His need to be right trumps any sort of objectivety 3.) Everyone should put him on ignore, and not get dragged into dumb arguments, like I, hypocritically, just did.
Just found out how ignore list works, wow this thread is a lot better when ignoring those 2 larsv8, would rep if I could!
Meh. I'm pretty sure it's because TJones could stay on the court. DMo was a foul machine his first 2 years.
...but I have to admit that DMO kept us afloat when Dwight was out. Which was big for the Rockets last year.
I wish there was some forum software that stopped bbholic & bobbythegrape from ever posting in the same thread...
Those two obvious statements are a great way of angering the crazy Jones fans. Make sure you say 10 "Hail Jones'" and a couple "Our Tweener's" for penance.
Remember when there were DMo trade talks prior to draft? And Rockets couldn't even get a first rounder for him. Oh wait, you don't remember that, because it was T Jones Morey was trying to get rid off. I wonder why Morey wants to get rid of the much better player than DMo... Hmmm...
yeah those made up people are the obsessive ones. not the person with 17,*** total posts on here in two years.
