Don't hate cause Microsoft just crushed google's bare bones featureless apps, by improving upon their 1 advantage.

Google's days are numbered for office programs.

You're right. Google's bare bones days are over. And now the vast majority of businesses and productivity users will be using MS Office products. :(

Never thought that I'd see the day.

99% of the people on this planet who can not afford to buy Office might disagree with your expert assessment.

LOL! Right? I've never used a Google app in an office setting other than Chrome. MS Office is still (and always has been) industry standard, correct?

When has anyone really used google stuff. I use it sometimes for collaboration, but not for writing stuff.

Are we so bored we've devolved into productivity software fanboys?

We use Excel for crunching data and producing graphs, but we also prefer Sheets for basic management, sharing results, and the ease of multiple users. Making forms to modify Sheets is pretty cool. Minimal is good sometimes. And you can't beat the price.

When did Google's days for office programs ever start?? MS Office has been, is, and always will be the standard.

The problem with Microsoft is that it require you to live in the Microsoft ecosystem; Office communicates with Skype which communicates with Outlook which wants to put everything on OneDrive, etc, etc...

Heck even Office 2013 had all these features no one bothered to use because it required a walled garden of Microsoft must-have software bundles.

Obviously they are going to promote their ecosystem. Google does it too. To fully utilize the potential of Google web apps you need to be logged in.
