Well we reached the WCF without him. How significant of a loss is it?

He was very helpful in most of our regular season games. We don't have Josh Smith anymore. Harrell and Jones will really have to pick up their games in D-Mo's absence.

Harrell sucks. He had a hard time guarding taller players in COLLEGE. In the pro's he will be feasted on by the West bigs.

You can't just make a statement like this without providing evidence of him being dominated by college bigs. Every game I saw Louisville play he was the emotional leader. And he grabs every rebound.

All I know is that I saw many games of him in College in which he severely struggled against bigger players.

If we still had Josh Smith it would be nearly as bad of a loss.

We are short on depth and cannot afford any injuries if DMo is out for extended. Dwight sitting on b2b's leaves us with Jones, Capela and Harrell.

Rockets wouldn't have been in position to make the West finals in the first place if Dmo hadn't hold down the fort while Tjones and D12 were out with their injuries. Rockets probably 6-7th seed without Dmo last season.

Worse case scenario, we now have a chance to develop our younger assets. I certainly want to see how Capela, Jones, and Daniels develop. What about you?

If you've been reading for awhile, we knew that DMo wasn't going to be ready. It's a slow healing process. I've heard December, but you never know. He's young and rehab may be an easier process than our older guys.

What I find idiotic is the amount of posters who think TJ is garbage. He's put up plenty of good games for us, despite being beat up by guys bigger and more experienced. I wasn't impressed with how he got bullied during the playoffs, but if anything, he learned from it.

IF TJ is our starter, it's not like we're starting Kwame Brown or Stromile Swift :rolleyes:(one comparison someone made to TJ) I'm not even a huge fan, but an objective fan can see that he's not the garbage some make him out to be.

Morey isn't going to let this year slip away. We've built on so much and we are legit contenders.

All you need is a vet at the 4 to support the collective healing process.

So you are saying TJ won't be out of the league after this contract? What are your sources? ;)

There's a former Rocket, a deeply experienced player who's a 4/5 that would fill that need well enough, and at a cheap price.

Hang on... someone just told me that the dude signed with one of our arch enemies, the Clippers, who appear to be grabbing any player we appear interested in. If only I could remember his name. For some reason, I keep thinking of the trail drive in Lonesome Dove. Damn! Neither one of us can remember the name. It'll come to me later.

tj will be the starter like hes always been even when dmo was healthy. guys gassed all summer trying say dmo this that but truth is guy hasn't played a playoff a game before he rode bench 1st yr, jones got all the mins.. 2nd yr wasn't healthy.

jones isn't the idea answer but its what we have, even when dmo comes back you wont see the same dmo you saw (WHEN HOWARD WAS OUT) and he could get all those touches.

    back to reality guys

I figure the Jones fans have about a month left before their delusions of him starting are forever shattered forcing them to re-think their lives. It'll be interesting to see how they take it.

do you really still think Dmo is starting? wow lol. at this point its not even about who's a fan of either player. it's about what makes sense for the team. how clueless can you be. this guy hasn't played basketball in months and is coming off back surgery. he won't be starting training camp and you actually think he'll be thrown in to the starting lineup on opening night. please tell me you can't be that delirious

Oh I think there's a chance he won't be starting on opening night, maybe.....but there's almost no chance he won't be starting the vast majority of the season. It's too early to rule out a setback with rehab, so maybe he misses a few games. I think the point though is that if they have the option of DMo or Jones, no sane basketball person picks Jones.
