Not sure if that was entirely his fault. From the replay it looked like the wing back (can't remember if it was Koralev or Sagna) that was marked on him. Whomever it was they were drifting back and if anything it looked like they were at fault and by the time the West Ham player took the shot Mangala ended up being the nearest defender.
Jesus Navas is complete trash. A pity we didn't see Sterling/KDB/Silva yet. I hate watching Navas put in crappy cross after crappy cross.
Would've been a big surprise. The team is weaker than last year and Klopp won't take a step back. Pretty sure it's either Bayern or England for him.
Navas is like Valencia. Use your pace to go right and then just cross it in without a plan. Half the time the cross doesn't beat the first guy.
Its his only move. Try to outrun the guy and whip in the cross to nowhere in particular. His weak foot is terrible. He can't finish in front of an open goal.
It was pretty clear to me that West Ham got to score as they had before the best score tally together with Man City who happens to have a record of 5 clean sheets .....
I know I am late to the party. I did not expect PSV to beat Man U. I do expect that they will not make it out of the group but still this was a good win.
England is heavily overrated, always losing vs mediocre teams. Great competition from 1-18,yes. But very weak top international-wise.
Well LFC is pretty bad atm. So hard to get excited for this season. We need a desperate change in a manager, I dont know how likely Klopp is,but at this point I wouldnt mind King Kenny again. Anyone but Rodgers players will start to lose faith in him and his tactics soon.
Klopp isn't coming. Considering the number of teams that would be more than happy with his services, I don't see why he would come to a project like LFC who probably can't beat Gerrard's MLS team. He'd have to wait years to see champions league with this team considering how remarkably mediocre we are. With Gerrard gone, this team lacks much-needed leadership and identity. I blame Rodgers. **** Rodgers.
Luke Shaw's injury certainly rattled a lot of the players that evening. United played a lot more conservative compared to their other games.
UNREAL Lewandowski in the 2nd half. Not sure I've ever seen that great a combination of sharpness in front of goal and good fortune all in the span of 10 minutes! FIVE GOALS in about the span of TEN MINUTES! The only disappointment was that he didn't try a legit heat check by getting the ball at the halfway line and taking a shot from there.
