Your post was good analysis, and pretty on point. But I have to highlight this as the kinda hypocrisy that I see from all these Cena haters who just don't get it. You dislike him as a wrestler - yet you are looking forward to him wrestling pretty much anyone in the Open Challenges! Yes, he has been in there with some good workers for those matches - but guess what buddy - who is the common denominator in all of them? To say Cena sucks as a wrestler is just nonsensical BS.
Not minding it. She is still my favourite (from a looks perspective) Top 5 on WWE or NXT atm are as follows (looks only. And this is something you might wanna post yourself. Imagine there would be a lot of variation) 1) Paige 2) Alexa Bliss 3) Nikki Bella 4) Lana 5) Summer Rae
That wasn't what I meant when I said I don't like Cena, the wrestler. I meant it as, I don't like seeing the same guy win for over a decade. He's a hell of a guy in real life, but I can't stand seeing him win the same way, over and over. Even now, he just beat the world champ cleanly, 2 nights in a row. I don't like seeing him constantly main eventing ppv's, which hasn't happened much recently, but over the last 10 years. The reason I like him having the US Title is because he's building up young guys. He keeps the strap at the end, but he gives guys a chance to shine in the process.
Only issue with paige turn, they could have got more out of it. What I mean is more subtle hints leading to the promo on RAW. Other than that, Paige killed it with that promo. I am. Lucha Underground got a second season, NJPW shows are brilliant and love reliving the Nitro and Raw's from 1996 and 1997. Hogan was a top babyface in Japan before going to WWE and had a major run with the AWA where he developed Hulkamania, the slogans etc before going to Vince. Saying Hogan had the WWE machine behind him when Hulkamania was already running wild, pun intended lol, before Vince. Also the Vince McMahon Machine wasn't machine yet lol.
Cesaro jobs to the Big Show. In 2015. Really glad the young upstart is getting his rightful push by dominating wrestlers like Cesaro
Umm..they've had subtle hints for weeks. I've seen it coming all along and have made tons of posts in this forum about it. Plus, that's been Paige's character throughout her WWE run. Always turning heel to get ahead. I had hoped for a more vicious attack using Becky to get Charlotte to agree to a title match. But I think they can easily do that very soon as well. Naomi/Nattie was good and Naomi is great and has some really great moves but that finisher is absurd. On, John Cena. I don't care so much about him winning but it's the way he wins where Rollins is hitting with some big time stuff for minutes at a time even and he just completely no sells a frog splash on top of it and rolls into his finisher. Ugh. Frog Splash should be a three count 98% of the time and if by chance of a kick out, the guy should be barely hanging on.
He's wrestling Lesnar on a WWE Network live event in a week. Do you think they aren't going to keep him looking strong going in? And that was a really competitive match, Cesaro did not look weak at all. I wouldn't really call it a job.
Regardless they should be doing better with Cesaro. He got unlucky when his tag partner got hurt. Them and New Day would have a good feud going right now I'm sure.
They've done more with pushing him as a singles wrestler in the last three months than in the previous three years.
She doesn't look as skinny as she did when she first started out, but she doesn't look fat either..just healthier and stronger I suppose. Anyways...my five hottest woman in the company 1. Becky Lynch 2. Naomi 3. Lana 4. Paige 5. Asuka
If she turns heel to get ahead, she is always a heel. Plus this heel turn has no short cut, nothing to get ahead. It was based on her ego, like the revolution was to elevate her but someone else leapfrogged her and took her spotlight. If she was about getting ahead in this case, she would have used her friendship to get a title shot, then turn to get the strap. I agree, Paige/Charlotte is where it should go and a viscous heel attack is needed. Beat up Becky, threaten to end her career unless she gets a title match, Charlotte agrees, Paige ****s her up regardless. Charlotte, Paige, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch should be built as the top 4 on the roster that they have on the main show now. The problem with Cena winning is he beat the World Champion clean, twice in two nights.
You can easily have Big Show take on 3 jobbers in a handicap match. But instead, you have Show go over someone actually good. Show could go over Titus. Show could wreck Jack Swagger. Show could wreck Barrett, if Barrett wasn't taking time off right now. There's a lot of other people on the roster who, even if fed to Show, could get some much needed airtime. And there's no way Big Show wins against Lesnar, clean. At this point in time, Lesnar is way too good for that. (But if this live event thing starts a feud between Show and Lesnar, I give up on WWE's creative team lol)
How else can the belt come off a champ? Stripping the title means you have to come up with a new storyline for that, which can't happen overnight. Champ can't lose the belt by DQ or anything like that. The Authority storyline seems to have lost a lot of power. Orton isn't associated with it anymore. Kane is on his own rampage. No J&J security. If Cena wasn't the one to take the US title, someone else would have done it. That's the problem with the #1 guy holding multiple titles. And as another poster said, Rollins wasn't going to defend the US title any time soon, unless they go the "2 matches in 1 PPV" route again.
Yeah, he has to beat him clean to win the belt. He didn't have to beat him clean to defend it. They could have opted not to have the rematch so close so that Seth's defeats weren't so close together. They could've had Kane interfere in the match causing a DQ or have demon Kane appear, causing Seth to run and be counted out. They didn't have to have Seth get pinned twice by Cena in two nights.
Even before this back to back, he was losing and tapping out to Cena coming up to Summerslam. If it weren't for the broken nose, Rollins would have had nothing going for him besides actually holding the belt. There's plenty of ways to win dirty, but authority/Jon Stewart run ins are the weakest ways of doing so. He beat Sting on Sunday, and nothing was mentioned on Raw to put him over. They put more emphasis on him getting the US belt back and of course he's gonna get crap booked in that.
I still can't think of a logical reason for putting the belt on Rollins in the first place. He has the most important belt in the world, putting that belt on him added nothing. They could have played that exact same angle with a performer that actually could have used that boost.
