Wish I coulda caught NXT for Carmella, but at least my voice is saved for NOC. How was the crowd and chanting in Revention? I never even heard of that place.
it's the concert venue in Bayou Place that was renamed from Aerial Theater/Verizon Wireless Theater/Bayou Music Center crowd was great for what we had, opener with Enzo/Casz was amazing, everybody was into it, quoting along the rest of the show it was pretty balance up, the title matches were turned up a notch and was great to see them interacting with the crowd at times
Wife and I are going to NoC tomorrow. I got Floor D row 5 seats. Never got those before. Are they good seats?
Bit harsh. The girls match was good enough, if a little predictable. They told a good story and got the outcome they needed to. I love flair's emotion. Great man. Now that the belt is on Charlotte, they can go about building feuds around the title which will hopefully lead to great women's matches as we have seen on NXT. Everything the new day does is tremendous. IC belt on Owens now is good. These last 2 matches should be great.
Well Y2J coming back was lame. He is so out of it. You have two of the most talented and prolific guys out there in Reigns and AMbrose and you put out a pitiful match with a boring ending.
Thought at least that it we an intriguing enough ending with the mini heel turn tease of Jericho. Not sure where that leads as I don't anticipate Jericho being on tv enough over next few months to make a decent enough story out of it. Curious. And anything that makes me curious I enjoy. Most things are so predictable these days. Not that predictable is always a bad thing either, But having a few angles that keeps you guessing is paramount.
I'm pretty disappointed. Kind of glad I didn't pay to watch it in person. I really don't like the "attack an injured body part" type of matches, and we had 2 of those tonight. I don't mind Kevin Owens winning the IC, but that was a boring match. Owens has such a great moveset but he used almost none of it because he was laying in the middle of the ring holding Ryback's elbow for 20 minutes. Hated the ending of Reigns/Ambrose/Jericho vs. Wyatts. Just ending it with a guy falling asleep seemed weak. Could've had the same result with a better finish. Cena/Rollins was fine. But Sting is too old to do anything interesting. Then he might've got legit hurt. I would've welcomed Sheamus cashing in MITB. But after watching a 56 year old Sting, they decided it was time for the return of a 48 year old Kane. Which I guess WWE likes since the next PPV will feature a 50 year old Undertaker again.
Did the commentators say anything about the fan that jumped into the ring after Reigns came out? Security seemed to have taken him out pretty quick and everyone else never broke character in owrson from what I could tell.
Kinda sucks that we seem to never get a big four PPV. I would like a Rumble or Survivor Series. Instead, we get a TLC and night of champions. Booing anything Dallas related is always fun. When they played the promo for WrestleMania, it get's a decent booing. a They had the wave going on, that was embarrassing. I actually thought Sting was legit hurt. His legs looked all wobbly. As a crowd, we weren't exactly New York area, or Philly or Chicago. We weren't backwards like Toronto. We were okay.
I really enjoyed the show too. I didn't participate in the wave, but Rollins played it off great. I don't know if the network shows it, but he also gave a good heel promo at the end of the event. I didn't believe that Sting was hurt mainly because I didn't see the ref X. But having 2 officials run out so quickly and the finish feeling rushed say otherwise. I think it'd be hilarious for Seamus' gimmick to be botched/ruined cash-in attempts all the way until it expires and he has to use it on the US or IC belt.
This PPV was great, anybody who ****s on it doesn't enjoy wrestling, period. And I went in thinking it would be subpar but everyone stepped up big. Owens/Ryback was solid. Owens working the shoulder throughout. Ryback doing little to sell it. Glad the IC belt has a rightful champ. Dolph/Rusev is always a good show. I'm sure there's more. I LOVE NEW DAY. Please let them stay champs FOREVER. Xavier Woods just has it. Charlotte and Nikki had a well layed out title match. Nikki showed a lot of stuff I hadn't seen from her before. The Wyatts/Shield + Jericho was the only thing I really didn't care for. Rollins/Cena was absolutely as fantastic as the SummerSlam match but with the clean decision. Makes sense for Rollins to drop it, he's never going to defend it. Rollins/Sting was way better than expected. Props to Sting for going back in time 20 years and really pushing Rollins. Hell in the Cell though.... LESNAR/TAKER HIAC ROLLINS/KANE CENA/? OWENS/CESARO I HOPE NEW DAY/DUDLEYS CHARLOTTE/SASHA OR PAIGE
Don't see why everyone is so hyped, was nothing more than a B- show which is pretty good for modern WWE. I did miss the opening match. Dolph/Rusev was the same match they have every time and really don't care about the storyline. New Day is growing on me, and did a good job with the Dudleys. Charlotte and Nikki had a good match, get the Bellas out of the title picture and let the talent work together and make that belt mean something. Jericho being back was great, match blah. Double main event? Results were never in doubt which, hurt my ability to really get into it. Beating Sting means nothing at this point. He losses at Mania, then losing to a guy who just had a match and get an AA on the floor just reiterated to the audience that Sting is the washed up WCW guy.
If you told me Sting would be doing planchas and taking bumps through announce tables, I'd never have believed it.
