De Bruyne looks dangerous out there, worth every penny. City playing well, WH just capitalized on their opportunities. Mangala I like but every game he does one silly error, he's got to focus the whole game. He gave too much space for the first goal.
Wow... couple of weeks ago we talked about Lucien Favre as possible next Bayern coach, now he resigns with Mönchengladbach because of losing the first five league matches.
Yeah Liverpool is a mid-table team at best. It's a testament to how truly great Suarez was that he single-handedly took that team to #2. The fact that Rodgers wasn't fired after Stoke pissed on our faces last season shows how much Henry doesn't know about soccer... or he just doesn't care. It feels like watching the 05-06 Rockets lead by the great Stromile Swift. Oh well, at least we're not Detroit.
Yeah, always liked him. Still, Gladbach looked terrible the whole season and Favre kinda stranded. Guess he didn't wanna go through the same like back in the day with Hertha, when he lost key players in Pantelic, Simunic and Voronin and the team collapsed.
If Pep leaves after this season, it would be the perfect situation for Favre and us. Thought the Gladbach thing would end up like with Dortmund last season: Horrible first half, 7th or 8th seed after the season and coach leaves the club. Really hard to find an explanation for Gladbach's abysmal games, rumor has it Favre didn't like the transfers and wanted other guys.
I have become more indifferent towards Pep. Not sure there really is anyone much better suited for us out there. I would prefer Pep to Klopp. The thing is, the team now kind of matches Pep, so it might be best to keep him for the time being.
Right now he's doing alright, but I'll hold my judgement until we play Barca or Real again. We always dominated league and other weak teams, Pep's mistakes are more obvious vs. good opponents. Agree that he would be an okay solution, but it's very strange he hasn't made a decision yet (originally they said the talks and decision would be this summer).
Doesn't mean he's a great coach though, seems he only knows how to use a very specific type of players and team. Maybe he'll learn to adapt when he's older and more experienced, but I think there are many coaches that are a better option if you want them to work with an existing roster.
Btw brehs: Klopp's agent said he definitely won't join Gladbach. Klopp also said he's improving his language skills atm, this heavily suggests he'll go to a foreign club.
