Arsen has a 13 page thread?
I am so glad I won't have to watch him again pumpfake take a step inside the three point line and then brick a two. And that is a sentiment all the Bucks fans share.

You can watch a slightly different version of it when you watch Terrence Jones. He'll pump fake 3 or 4 times and when no one cares, he'll brick a 3. Or his alternate is when he pump fakes 3 or 4 times then passes it when no one cares.

Hadn't even thought about reuniting the twins ... interesting

We know how much Horny loves his PG's in PHX ...
And he's just praying something comes along to keep him from having to eat Markieff's $8M over the next 4 years when he's eventually cut ...

And look who has an expiring $8.3M contract that matches up quite nicely with EI's $7.9M and Brew's $8.3M ...
If, as expected, Jennings does not take well to backing up new $18M starter Reggie in DET ...

How about this neat little 3-way:
    HOU Gets:
PF Ersan Ilyasova - $7.9M (TO $8.4M in 2016/17) from DET
    PHX Gets:
PG Brandon Jennings - $8.3M (Expiring) from DET
    DET Gets:
    SF Corey Brewer - $8.3M (+2 yrs @ $7.6M) from HOU
    PF Markieff Morris - $8M (+3 yrs @ $8M) from PHX

PHX would jump at the chance to get out of MM's contract for BJ's expiring deal, and they're perpetually collecting PG's
Just lost Goran & Isiah while only adding BKnight ... still down 1 PG from their ideal 3-man rotation
Plus the hyper-kinetic Brew is a perfect fit at SF for their pace and style, and they just lost Gerald Green

DET might not like being on the hook for another $40M over next 3 years, but ...
    - they already traded for him, so adding Markieff is best way to get Max prod/value out of Marcus next 3 years
    - locking in with Reggie makes Jennings a ticking time bomb, and with so much heat already, SVG cannot afford another Josh Smith / Greg Monroe fiasco to ruin this season
    - I fully expect Stanley Johnson to emerge as the clear 2nd core player on this team as a DEF monster (think Kidd-Gilchrist), and the Forward who claims the most rotation minutes by season's end

For the Rockets, the fact Morey made resigning KJ a priority (even above bringing back Josh) tells me that he hopes KJ is stealing most (if not all) of Brew's rotation time as Ariza's backup by season's end anyway
... not to mention the expected emergence of Dekker in the coming seasons
... at which point Brew will still be making $8M as a very expensive insurance policy at SF on the bench as a 3rd-stringer

Any problems I'm missing with this deal that makes it impossible come December?

Yes you miss a problem. SVG. He has a system and he values fit> talent. He can't have his system with Markief he wants a pure stretch four.

Not everything revoleves around TJ. You need to go into rehab from your obssesion with him.
Besides Jones plays better defence, is younger, is more consistent and doesn't take 4 months to get in form. And isn't made of glass.

I don't think this, at all, because it would make Brewer and his contract very hard to trade, if it happens and we haven't already traded Brewer. That would mean we would be out of the Durant chase or have to give up assets to ship him out, which would not make sense.

I think the best hope for KJMCD as it relates to him taking over for Brewer is a scenario where we can get a commitment from Durant in the summer, trade Brewer to create the room and then count on KJMCD to take over Brewer's role in 16-17.

    Ricky Rubio...
    Markieff Morris...
    Ersan Ilyasova...

The Rockets aren't making any trades until December at the earliest!

Can you folks let this team get to camp and start the season?!

You guys are putting alot of effort into guys like MMorris and Ilyasova before you even really address the major question that comes up when trading for ANYONE with significant salary such as these guys...

... Are you upgrading talent when you are giving up a large combination of the following players to meet the CBA requirements for trade rules? (also not to mention the Rockets also being Hard capped)

    -Ariza
    -Motiejunas
    -Jones
    -McDaniels
    -Brewer
    -Beverley
    -Etc

    ????

The only player on the above list without a significant role I could see would be McDaniels whose salary would only make up 30% of the needed amount. All of the other players look to be very much part of the rotation this next season.

Are they really worth giving up, and would that actually be an upgrade at the end of the day????

IMO no. Why are we wasting time talking about it then?

(Well... it is September... I NEED REAL BBall to start ASAP)

No need for Ilyasova anymore. His game has deteriorated over the years.

Whoops ... left that part if it was still Brew going to PHX, rather than moved to DET for Jennings

For DET, Brewer isn't a great fit for a team looking to put shooters around Drummond
He'll give any bench an energy boost, but he's still unlikely to get a lot of run as a wing backup behind Stanley & KCP, not with Meeks and Tolliver offering much better-shooting alternatives

Still, Pistons primary motivation here would be to eliminate potential cancer of PG tension by moving Jennings
After last season, of any team, they can least afford a repeat of that kind of drama

    Along those lines ...
This also easily makes them the most obvious fit for PHX to move Markieff

The potential Morris Brothers drama that Marcus could bring (solo) would be minimized by reuniting him with his brother and giving both fresh start together, while also eliminating a potential playing-time crunch at PF ... I'd guess Marcus would be much happier splitting 48 mins with his brother than with Ersan

If it works, they could receive MUCH better production from that combo at the 4 than they would from lame-duck Ilyasova + unhappy Marcus

Rockets probably aren't making any deals after the season starts except maybe adding a vet for the minimum to fill out the open roster spot.

Which is fine cause there's not been a team as deep and talented since the championship days.

    That's what I'm sayin ... December
No way DET moves EI now ...
Gotta give Reggie/Jennings a few months to make SVG desperate ...

    And for Jpripper88 ...

Swapping Brew's guaranteed 3yr deal for EI's 2016/17 Team Option accomplishes exactly what you suggest in trading him this offseason to make room for Durant ...

Essentially we could decline EI's $8.4M option, instantly creating that amount of cap space ... MUCH simpler than trying to find a taker for CB's contract without taking back significant salary in return

Marcus plays mainly SF. He is a backup. Markieff can't play the SVG system.

Also there is no Jennings-Jackson situation. Jennings in August hadn't even begun running and was very back in his rehab, posted he was going to retire on twitter and deleted it and said that he has no problem being a backup.

NBA defenses have figured out stationary 3pt shooting bigs without legit dribble-drive or post up abilities. Forget Ilyasova, Ryan Anderson et al.

Let's just go to war with what we've got.

Last season he shot 39% from 3PT (3rd best of his 7 seasons)
Plus he did that on 3.3 attempts per game (career high) in only 22.7 MPG (fewest since rookie season)

You're right he'll probably never top his 2011/12 (9 boards + 46% from 3) but we don't really need that with DMo/TJ/rookies also getting minutes at PF

If he can do nothing more than camp out on the arc around Dwight/Harden/Lawson and knock down the open 3's they create at a 40% clip in his 20 minutes, he would provide that elusive sniper stretch 4 we still don't have

The fact his contract is such a perfect fit too is just icing on the cake
If it doesn't work, you still have Ariza/KJ/Dekker at SF without Brew, and you can let him walk in offseason while creating another $8M in cap space you won't have unless you end up trading Corey anyway

    Horny is easily intimidated.

When or if if the time comes, A transaction will occur based on a health prognosis.

Did Terrence Jones dump you or something? Did he stand you up or just stopped calling or something?

    I don't blame him.

I can't wait to see Jones play. Hopefully he'll be healthy and he'll be playing for that contract.
