When in doubt, scream & shout "RACISM!"

I agree with the punishment of 10-day suspension and kicked off the football team. That should be it, though, including maybe paying the medical fees. Criminal charges aren't necessary, and he deserves a second chance. It was a heat-of-the-moment frustration cheap shot, but nothing like those two scumbags on the ref.

Still, it's silly that the family is trying to justify the cheap shot as racism and politics. They should just own up and say he lost his temper and composure, made a regretful mistake, apologize and try to make things right instead of making silly claims.

^^^LOL...at those fools trying to defend that callous dirtbag move...Its so easy to cop out and "claim" racism...People dont want to take accountability for their actions...It would be easier to forgive people that admit a mistake of judgement, but instead...he lies to the general public in hopes to garner sympathy?

Being a victim is now a badge of honor skyrocketing you to hero status. The fact that super mullet is the only one without a jacket isn't surprising.

He can have his second chance after he serves whatever punishment you get for assault.

Looks like the Cobra Kai kids were quick to turn on Kreese once they realized how much trouble they were in.

Did they turn on Kreese or just apologize to and/or congratulate their opponent after getting disqualified and losing the tourney?

You don't rebut insults with violence, teenagers about to enter the workforce or college need to understand that; minorities in particular as most of your opportunities or lack thereof will stem from whites judging your reactions to conflict and slights to evaluate your broader attitude and communication skills.

Criminal convictions preclude second chances in several instances, that's probably part of the point.

Since there's no grace period for rent or do-overs on college mid-terms; you gotta be runnin' hot and straight at 10-8.

I think he should get charged with criminal charges. Let's say his blow with the helmet caused him to die instead of just receiving 10 stitches.

If that were a realistic enough hypothetical, you'd probably want to put refs in protective gear themselves or just ban the sport altogether.

Oh well. His actions were not in any way related to the game. Just look up Hockey and how they handle these situations. Kid needs to face charges.
*just to be clear I'm reffering to the Linden incident.

All this needs to be forgiven. That was a love tap to begin with plus I've seen some bad hits without justification.

You don't hit an official, ever. There is a reason you never see this in any sport, regardless of how furious somebody is.

The kids will never play organized football again, and this coach is probably gonna find a new career. If they are lucky that will be the extent of the punishment.

Eh, it's okay to hit a racist and that's what the kids/coach saw. They saw a racist not a referee.

Nah. I'd reduce the penalty put on the players since the coach is admitting ordering the code red. But, I'd still penalize them. The coach should be prosecuted. Does he think he's mafia or something, ordering hits?
