We need to have an adequate replacement for Gattis next year. Can't have your DH having a .726 OPS, needs to be near .850-.900.
Guys, we should not talk about this game, is already over and Astros quit, we should do the same, question is, who should manage our team next year???
If he gives me .810 like he did with the Braves i would be happy with that, but the .726 from this year is awful, now the question is, why Hinch played him so much???
Tonight is the night the Rangers peak and the Astros bottom out. If the two teams were stocks I'd be selling Texas and buying Houston. Still think the Astros get it done and win the division after a 6-3 or 7-2 homestand.

We're gonna pour it on you AGAIN this year Parsons but it's gonna get even uglier...all on your face with no towel
No Hinch hasn't done a fine job. The team has melted down the stretch, they have drifted along aimlessly. He has had poor pinch hit patterns, has set poor line ups and the team has made a number of mental errors. He isn't the reason the Astros have been terrible on the road, terrible in big games and has been outscored 33-13 in the biggest series of the season... But he hasn't helped either. Could he win with an absolutely stacked team? Probably but most managers can. However having someone that honestly comes across as either flat (at best) if not inexperienced and over his head is not what you want managing a young team. Managers are not static; Joe Maddon and Bruce Bochy were not always very good, and a manager is largely at the mercy of the talent on his team...but this is a collapse, the biggest in baseball this season and that doesn't even take into account the enormous run differential, etc. Maybe Hinch gets another season, but I don't see how anyone can say he has overall done a good job.
Holy Toledo, Jesus just woke up from a coma! Disappointed? Sure. Surprised they sucked on the road? Not at all. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">The <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Astros?src=hash">#Astros</a>' 2-8 record on this 10-game trip is the most surprising part of a tremendously surprising season.</p>— Jose de Jesus Ortiz (@OrtizKicks) <a href="https://twitter.com/OrtizKicks/status/644711525605728256">September 18, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Everything that could go wrong went wrong, but the young <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Astros?src=hash">#Astros</a> need their best players to perform. That dude is phoney as hell... He is all over the radio up here in Chicago... Cannot stand him and he isn't perfect, but he does seem to keep his team mentally loose and confident... Also isn't afraid to offend like pulling starters after 3-4 innings.
Jesus is still employed? Make no mistake the Chronicle cliche is glad the Astros are suffering some... For some reason they decided several years ago to turn wrestler heel and be anti-Astro at all costs... Still want to shut them up? Don't give up 33 runs in a 4 game series and blow a division lead.
Actually outside of this forum, most people respect the job he has done with this team this year I think because we held the lead so long this year, people over estimate the overall talent on this team Great starting pitching Great power Very few bats with a decent approach A decent pen with no lockdown back end Poor to terrible options at 1B, catcher when Castro is out, and 3B And we still have a playoff spot as of now and heading home for 9
lol...facts don't lie that's for sure. Astros just didn't start being bad on the road last night Jesus
Tried to defend this team, but it's f****** frustrating how hard it's imploded. Fk it, go for wild card.
