nope. bell has struggled the last two seasons. it's not just about one week of football. there's not going to be a split here. Abdullah is a playmaker. He's going to out-touch Bell more and more as the weeks go by. As far as fantasy which is what were talking about here AA is by far the one to own. ZZ isn't even a factor right now. he has nothing to do with AA.
Feck it, I'm playing Anderson. Baltimore is a one off game and KC defense almost allowed us to rush 100 yards. That is without Arian. Counting on my other boys to rack up the points for me this week. Thanks DieHard.
In a PPR and worried about Anderson tonight. I have Giovanni Bernard on my bench at home against the Chargers. Take the risk on Anderson or Bernard?
I'd be very worried about CJ Anderson tonight. I could see this game getting ugly offensively. In regards to the Detroit situation, I think it is quite clear that Abdullah is going to see a lot of touches early and often, and Bell is not going to get much usage unless they're protecting a lead later on.
Romo, Eagles are susceptible to the pass even minus Dez. Btw, I also have Abdullah and am playing him over Tevin Coleman this week in another league. Unluckily there is no flex spot and Eddie Lacy is my starter.
Three choices Non-PPR. Either Start Maclin(vs. Denver) at flex, Woodhead (@Cincy) at RB, and sit Gurley(@Washington) Start Gurley at RB, Woodhead at flex, sit Maclin Start Maclin at flex, Gurley at RB, sit Woodhead. Which one should I do? Thanks!
Did some lineup tinkering and still can't decide. Should I switch out Williams with Blount and put Charles Johnson(bench) as my flex or keep as is? Current line up: QB-Stafford RB-Deangelo Williams RB-Ivory WR-Brown WR-Beckham TE-Jordan Cameron Flex-Blount
QB - Sam Bradford WR - Antonio Brown WR - DeAndre Hopkins RB - Justin Forsett RB - Rashad Jennings TE- Kelce Flex - Mike Evans Backups WR - John Brown WR - Eric Decker RB - LeGarette Blount QB - Carson Palmer I am looking to get more RB depth. I have been offered Melvin Gordon for John Brown straight up. The guy also has Gurley and Gio Bernard. Was also offered Gordon and Bernard for John Brown and Decker. Would leave me with no excess WR depth but would probably be okay with that but the waiver wire may be tough this year if I need another receiver or two. I do like Gordon and think everyone is over reacting to his fumble and Woodhead getting touchdowns. They were basically in 2 minute drills. I don't think Woodhead is their goal line back as they will just play it by ear. Gordon showed excellent balance and strength on several runs. I do like Brown but I am not sure when I am going to be able to play him. He also is somewhat limited physically in that I can't see him developing into an Antonio Brown type star just yet. Maybe in a couple of years but not this season. Should I pull the trigger on either of these deals?
Thats tough. I think no matter what you should keep Woodhead and pick between Maclin or Gurley. Maclin is listed as probable for tonight. So tough choice between maclin or Gurley
Melvin Gordon was always overvalued hence why his ADP dropped as the preseason unfolded. He was never going to produce RB1 value. See Mathews, Ryan. Maybe people keep expecting the next Tomlinson to walk through the door in SD. It ain't happening. Its Rivers' team for better or worse and the RBs are role players.
tbh this looks like a solid team to start a season. I would wait to see how blount does in his 1st game. A good problem to have is depth at positions not a shortage, especially with injuries every week in the NFL. If you really want a rb try to get one out of decker. the rest of your receivers will have solid seasons as long as they're healthy.
I also have the possibility of switching Williams out with Garcon for my flex. I guess subconsciously I'm not all too confident with Williams vs SF defense lol.
Good viewpoint. My RB's do have potential to be decent enough. I am used to always having consistent RB's in the past but I went a different strategy this year since RB's were going for more in this auction league. I was able to cash in on receivers. Got Hopkins for $9 (out of $100 budget). Obviously I don't live in Houston anymore. I don't see any reason why Forsett, Jennings and Blount can't produce at least RB2 numbers most of the season. I assume Blount will get 15-20 carries and all goal line work which is super valuable but who knows. I might try a Decker for Bernard type of trade although Decker is going to eat up TD's against the #2 corners assuming #1 corners will be guarding Marshall.
williams is pretty much guaranteed another week of 20 carries give or take. This will be the last week thats going to happen before bell claims his spot again. that should be taken advantage of. btw I dont think sf's defense is as good as what people may think after playing a horrible minn team with one of the worst starting qbs in the league.
I don't think youll be missing much if you want to get rid of Decker for a RB you like. he's no more than a WR3 if even that as the Jets are a run heavy team and Fitz being a limited qb. He'll likely be up and down all season.
I think Pittsburgh looked worse than they are and San Fran looked better than they are. I look for Pittsburgh to beat SF by a touchdown on Sunday.
