Ironic that you chose soccer as an example when outside of national team jerseys, all soccer jerseys have ads as the centerpiece of them.

Yeah it was intentional. Even the kits with ads on them look better than these sleeved abominations that the NBA is puking out. I was trying to point out that sleeved jerseys can look pretty slick if done right. If they are going to put ads on them then I am out. A lot of the national team jerseys are really slick, some of the best in sports.

If they made a sleeved uni that looked similar one of these national teams then I would wait in line for one.

That's how modern shirts are cut nowadays. I'm in my 20s, most people I know wear tighter fitting shirts (in the same cut as these jerseys)

That being said, almost all of the sleeved jerseys are ugly as ****, so I doubt anyone would ever wear them

I know I'm in the minority on this, but I actually like the sleeved jerseys.

plus 1 - sleeveless jerseys generally make you look like an oaf or a buffoon in public.

Does anybody need to see your armpits? Do you want anybody to see them?

I don't mind if they make non muscle versions. Like soccer jerseys. I LOVE wearing basketball jersey t-shirts. You know just a t-shirt with the team name, and number and player name and number on the back. Just like a jersey but actually wearable. A soccer jersey version would be the same but allowing for the same material they use in the real NBA uniforms. So high quality/more expensive version of the t-shirt jersey.

I of course am talking about just for fans. I don't want to see NBA players wearing sleeves at all. If they choose to wear super tight compression sleeves under their jersey like Dwight does sometimes, that's fine.

If Adidas really wanted to force this, they should have experimented first in college basketball where they have always had players wear big baggy t-shirts under their jerseys so it would have made sense some of those skinny college kids would like sleeved jerseys.

It's awful. Black jerseys are cool and that's it.

Honestly I wouldn't wear either of them most likely.

Just aesthetically speaking, I like the sleeved jerseys. I think they have a sharp look to them. I really don't get all of the backlash against them.

It is still awful..I don't know why they exist.

It was like the new ball they tried to implement in 2006..but it did not work out and they changed back to old ball. It is kind of like sleeved jersey..it also did not work out..The NBA players did not like it, including Lebron.

Personally, I did not like it either. It is awful.

I'm right there with you too. I can see why the players might not like them as it might be a bit uncomfortable to play with, but as a fan I like them. For example I love our new grey sleeved jerseys.

I thought it would have been cool for them sell sleeved jerseys for fans kind of like soccer jerseys but for basketball, they don't have to make tight muscle sleeved jerseys for me to want to wear a nice quality soccer like jersey that players never wear. I guess it's liek wearing a really nice team shirt.

The sleeved jersey might be better if Nike takes over and keeps doing it, bc most of what Adidas has put out has been hideous. I'm okay with the idea of it though especially for fans. The red Xmas sleeved jersey with the logo on chest was great IMO.
