I believe strong and shaka stay. His recruits are great. Once all the mack recruits are gone, the turn around will be complete.
Just got an email from Fenves...Patterson resigned? So maybe we worked out a settlement on his buyout?

Forcing out underperforming, long-time employees is a plus, not a negative. I don’t have a problem with not allowing season ticket holders to not resell tickets. Go to the d*mn game! If you can’t go to the games, don’t get season tickets. WTH is up with this Wickline deal? He’s not calling plays. He was never going to call plays. Couldn’t they have foreseen this cr*p?
This seems like the height of stupidity. You do understand that not everyone can be available all 6 weekends of a season, right? That's going to happen - people have lives. In that scenario, is it better for the school to have empty seats or give other fans a chance to attend the games?
First, the Athletic Department operated at a big loss last year, and it sounds like the first game was not a sellout. Therefore, you are not doing the school a favor by reducing the number of empty seats. You are the competition. I'd rather the school get that money than inconvenienced season ticket holders. Second, season tickets are a tradeoff. You forego flexibility for cheaper individual ticket prices, better seats, or whatever. You are saying you are entitled to the benefits of season tickets without foregoing the flexibility. Essentially, you want something for nothing, and I don't see how that works in commerce. Third, you are talking about SIX GAMES - on the weekends. The schedule is known well ahead of time. This isn't professional baseball.
So, from what I'm reading, the press makes it sound like Patterson is out, b/c he didn't give the good old boys enough "warm fuzzies". Makes us sound like a bunch of p*ssies. I am pretty sure I would do terrible at that job.
He is the AD for UT. The alumni base has some real deep pockets. They have enough money to fire a guy who was firing 1.4 mil/year. Of course you got to suck up to them. If he didn't know that coming in he is dumb.
Maybe when I said that the media coverage was making us look like a bunch of p*ssies, I should have been commending them on accurate reporting.
