It's time, Mr. Carter. A lot of damage can be undone if you just hit 7 or 8 homers in the next 3 nights. All will be forgiven. Get you some dignity back.
"Mr. Carter...Mr. Carter...are you still the Astros batting champ?" "I'll always be the batting champ, son. The batting champ is...beautiful." Expect big things from Mr. Hurricane Astros Carter tonight. (cough)
. . . and Conger will start throwing baserunners out -- with an urgency and purpose. It all starts tonight.

This lineup has Carter and Gattis hitting 4th. Holland, as Hamels, are about the same against lefties and righties. Yesterday i said that Rasmus was going to have a good game, and that Valbuena was going to battle, and both did good. Hinch should not be scared of using lefties vs Holland, and having Gattis hitting 4th is a big liability, I prefer Rasmus there. (Rasmus has had some big moments for the Astros). Carter, i am not only concerned about his offense, but defense. I still think that Tucker will hit lefties, he was good in the minors and this is the scouting on him "he has handled lefthanders in his career and hit .319 with seven homers against them in 2014, when he spent the second half at Triple A." These lefties are the one these type of hitters are able to hit, but Gattis vs lefties have this numbers: .221 average with a .659 OPS. For many month we had the opportunity to give a guy like Tucker a real chance to compete for that DH spot against a guy that is one of worse DH in baseball (this as a hitter, because as a person i think he is one of the best, if not the best guy in the club). Now, because we did not do the things needed for the past 3 month, now we are STUCK with Gattis hitting 4th and Carter hitting 6th, and Conger, who can't hit lefties 8th. Lets hope McHugh brings a lot of 0 and that top 3 hitters deliver big time for us to win this big game. Hopefully we are going to see Carter hit homers and Gattis deliver with men on base, that would make me VERY HAPPY, but we are going against numbers and for a long time we have done that and lost a big lead. The game has not started, we are ALL ROOTING FOR A VICTORY by the Astros, and is a good time for Hinch to take the road of a HERO with these 2 moves because if they don't work he will get a lot of blame for it, and that is part of the job of been a manager. Go Astrossssss, we need this game big time, McHugh is going to be MCnificent.
well damn. we've all been anxiously waiting for you to weigh in on this. guess we can all stop watching now.
