Says the guy who *started* the name calling. LMAO You already know exactly what I'm talking about, so you're really just a fronting beeotch to me. You really want me to copy-paste your exact post I'm speaking of? Fool, please Buck Girlidson
^^^ If people kept it real, the entire World would be better... not just this thread. Anyways, like I said, Stros are down but not out. And this series/season is far from over. We have good pitching and good hitting with Springer's return. Let's see what time tells.
yep at the end of the day if the Astros go 2-2 in this series then we move on without any damage...K's game 3 on Wed obviously the important one to get for momentum into the 4th game in my opinion anyways
That one run was a game tying home run. Tonight was a go ahead home run (2 runs). I don't care about your cumulative stats. The last 30 games are not too impressive to me. Losses and a ballooned era. His cumulative era which you raved about is from the early season success. http://m.mlb.com/player/501789/will-harris The pen as a whole as the season progressed has become less dependable. That is a fact. I'm not sure if it is from fatigue or something else.
The question here is why take Kazmir out when he was really good last night and only had 93 pitches, at least give him one more batter, right? We all know in this forum, well, the majority that right now the bullpen is not very good, why take Kazmir from the game then? Hinch is not good
Those are very good numbers, BUT i would also look at the batters splits, and Fielder hits .336 against righties and .264 against lefties. When i am facing Fielder, i want a lefty, especially if the game is on the line.
So basically, if a pitcher has one bad outing over the course of a month, they should no longer pitch in high leverage situations? Giving up a run in the previous game is now "being hideous the last few games"? The "cumulative ERA" that I pointed to were for September and August, each of which was under 2 going into yesterday. That's certainly true. And yet, despite the fact that all the pitchers are getting worse, you still wanted to bench the single most effective bullpen pitcher we have for someone worse.
So basically, in your weird world, only the batters' splits matter, but not the pitchers' splits? Do you not think the lefties that Harris faced probably ALL have better splits against righties, and yet he still puts up absurd numbers against them?
Well, you intend to insult with the word "weird" so sorry, i am not getting into that, i will only talk baseball without insulting forum members, and if they do that to me, easy, to the ignore list, bye
Used to be When the team was bad, it was good in here Now the team is good, and it's all negative in here
As frustrating as it is to watch the Astros lose, do you'll actually watch the entire games live in real time on TV with no flipping or buffering (DVR). I tend to flip over and watch something else. Then, flip back, rewind to watch the highlights of...say...the previous inning...if something positive happened. If something bad happened, then I will not rewind and watch it most of the time. I do watch some of it live but not a lot. I'm usually watching what happened in the past via rewind. I find it's the only way I can control myself emotionally. But, I also realize I miss a lot of great moments that happen as they happen live in the moment. The DVR has corrupted how I watch sports. It used to be you had to watch it live obviously or catch ESPN (which is frustrating waiting on the Astros game replays to come along). Sometimes I'll screw it up and accidentally wipe the Astros game buffer...and miss a great moment. That happened with the Angels game and the 5 run 9th. When Fielder hit the go ahead HR, I did not see it. I saw it on my phone and box score. At that point, I did not watch the game at all in any capacity. I went to bed and checked the box score this morning hoping for another miracle win...but it wasn't there. So, I ignored everything about the game after that and put it out of mind (well...except for this thread talking about it). lol
I never miss a snap in football, a possession/shot in basketball, and a pitch in baseball. If I know I can't watch the whole game live, I'll record it.
I've been a member on this site for over 13 years. I lurked for a handful before that. This was the first message board I ever discovered. I finally got to add someone to my ignore list. Congrats, cangrejero51. You are literally the worst, most annoying poster I have encountered in nearly two decades on message boards.
