There is a forum member that mocked me because i said the Rangers manager did very good sending the lefty to pitch to our 7, 8 and 9 hitters, when 2 of those 3 where righties. And he mocked me as if that is an easy decision. Well, OUR MANAGER had an easy decision, KEEPING KAZMIR IN THE GAME, and what happened? Brings Harris, a moved we all questioned, and then what? Sipp vs the lefty, right???? Noooooooooo, he leaves a guy that is getting hit HARD pitch to their best hitter, who by the way is a lefty. Then what happen? HOMERRRRRRRR Can we trade managers?????
Why when we had a big lead in the standings, we did not develped VV or Feliz to pitch in big situations???? Why????? THEY HAVE THE STUFF, not these other guys that throw 90 mph fastballs.
Then they didn't target hard enough. There were closers out there that they failed to get. Hell there was a massive stinking poo hole at first base and they did nothing to alleviate the problem. They could have had KRod and Lind.
only solution is if it's a tie or a 1 run lead, you let the starting pitcher go through 8 innings. if he dies, he dies. desperate times.
Villar has a .660 OPS against RHP, Tucker has a .850 OPS against RHP. You have options on your bench to play 1B and can move Valbuena to 3B. Just no reason or excuse to not PH Tucker in that situation, especially when he hit a PH bomb yesterday.
