Well obviously not but game planning for 2 QBs with very different styles is not easy and takes their focus away so yeah, it is somewhat of an advantage
I think there is no way Hoyer doesn't start on Sunday. I definitely think BOB respects his own decision for the time being but if Hoyer comes out and throws 3 interceptions then I say Mallett starts week 3. I know that BOB realizes that it was only week 1 and they were playing against KC ... who had one of the best defenses in the league last year. It has only been 1 game and while I have no faith in Hoyer being the answer, I just can't imagine BOB going back on his decision this quickly. I will have my fingers crossed that Mallett starts but my money is on Hoyer. Can we get Fitz back?
We throw away 2nd and 3rd rounders like it's nothing. As for O'Brien...he's embarrassing himself if he thinks it's some sort of competitive advantage to shroud the starter in mystery. It's Brian Hoyer or Ryan Mallett. The Panthers are laughing either way.

I wish BoB would pull the plug. But he chose Hoyer and will probably give him a chance to at least start until Arian gets back so he can have a competent RB. But IMO just go ahead and give Mallett the reps. We all know Hoyer is not going to be the starter by the end of the season so why wait?!
I would never made that pass in madden. It wasn't a bullet pass either. More like a soft pass that can be read easily
I always liked Seth Payne. That's all that needs to be said right there. Say that, and look at the pick he threw on the first play. I don't care whose fault it was, it just looked horrible. I realised the line wasn't great, but if you did an assessment on the snap to release time of the two quarterbacks, I bet Mallet's is at least a second a half quicker. If not two. That's a world of a difference. Especially with shoddy line play. Also, I remember another play where Hoyer totally missed and overload blitz on the right side. I think it was Brooks just held his arms out like, "what the hell?" as Hoyer is getting up from the sack. Little things like that, are on the QB. In O'Brien's offense, adjusting that play at the line, over the course of five to ten plays in a game, makes a difference in the outcome. I trust his decision though.
This is what angers me the most... OK I get that you dont want to draft a QB #1 overall, but why the heck did you not consider drafting a QB as Bridgewater kept dropping...Un-freaking-believable...Then when having a chance at drafting Derek with the #1 pick in the 2nd round, we went with XSF...and everyone in Houston was like who the heck is this guy??? Derek Carr and Bridgewater are infinitely better than the dumpster fire we have under center now...
