Hoyer threw that blind near our own end zone..just awful instincts there

It looked like it was straight out of Matt Schaub's how to throw a pick book.

Looks like there was at least one injury, however minor

Hoyer is too short. He looked scared in the pocket.

Mallett is a littler taller so he was able to see receivers better. Just come out and say Mallett is a starter for week 2 already.

That's why Alex Smith is still a starter in the league and why Hoyer needs to be on the sidelines with the Texans or another team as a backup option. (Nice guy he is but he should not be the starting quarterback for any team).

Personally thought this was one of JJ's worst games...Basically the entire team played like crap...It was embarrassing seeing Hoyer make his first throw...and it almost was a Schaub...

Might as well have been bc both his TO's resulted in TD's...14 points gifted by Hoyer. Alex Smith dominated our 2ndary.

PS. Of all the units of this team, the Linebacker player was the worst. Nothing from the LB's...and they could NOT cover.

LB crew was short Mohamed, and that really showed in coverage, especially the long TD to Kelce. He turned Dent around badly, and no one picked up the TE.

Simon also whiffed on a tackle in the 4th on Kelce which extended a drive at the end of the game when we needed a 3-and-out.

Need Mohamed back to cover, he is one of the best coverage LBs in the league.

Red Zone offense should be simple for the Texans. Just throw it in Nuk's general direction.

Kelce really took advantage of Mohamed being out, that guy just killed us all game long.

I haven't been on here all day so forgive me if I'm repeating.

Was the coverage on Hopkins different earlier in the game than later? Or was it just that Hoyer was less willing to throw it his way than Mallet was?

With all the talk of special teams in training camp, that unit is still pretty bad.

Saw some good and bad from Cushing and Clowney; just glad about the good.

It's only one game but Marcus Peters looks like the better rookie CB.

The O-line seem to get worse then better as the game progressed

I hope this game helps bring the expectations of this season back down to earth. Everyone crying #1 defense need to slow their roll.

Peters is the better press man corner and will continue to be. K. Johnson is the more versatile player and has similar ball skills.

They are both gonna be great.

The safeties should receive some blame too. That's part of their job.

It was really just Mallett being more willing to target Hopkins than anything. It could have been because Hoyer isn't capable of making the same throws though.

While Adams had an awful game (and shows why Myers will be so missed this year), Hoyer was SO SLOW with his reads. When you have a weaker line you need to make quicker decisions.

That's was horrendous. Hopefully this provides an answer to conquistador#11's comment on the last page when I said our offensive line sucked today.
