At least Hoyer was nowhere near as bad as "Average" Joe Flacco was today. He completed 56% of his passes for 117 yards and threw 2 picks 38.2 QB rating. (3.7 yards per attempt)

Hoyer by comparison completed 53% of his passes for 236 yards with 1 TD and 1 pick 72.7 QB rating.(6.9 yards per attempt)

There's awful, then there's Flacco awful.

Can't just look at the numbers, Denver has an elite defense and they are really good.

Manning got lucky today as his defense carried him, he is the one whose looking pretty bad.

1 int 1 fumble, both in the red zone, 14 points handed to the Chiefs as a result.

That is plain and simple Hoyer awful

Oh no question, I was really joking and pointing out how poorly Average Joe did. I hope Hoyer never plays another snap for the Texans.

Hoyer was so bad that he will get another chance to show if it was just a bad game, and we will see, yes, he really is just bad.

    That's the good for me.

man hoyer just sucks. another wasted season for the Texans. The defense didn't even look ready to play in the first half and that falls on BoB. honeymoon is over Bob, find a fkn qb and get the team ready to go by kickoff.

I was encouraged by what I saw from our wide receivers. They had a couple of drops that hurt. But, I saw a number of players that can make plays.

One week is one week. Marcus Mariota probably isn't John Elway crossed with Joe Montana.

I do like Mallet better than Hoyer based on what I have seen of them, but I am not gonna lynch BoB if he rides with Hoyer one more week.

I am encouraged that Clowney appears to still have a little explosiveness and that the running game didn't completely crater without Foster.

i won't be surprised if they run hoyer another week just to see if that's truly how bad he is...

i hope i'm wrong though, and the tape shows BOB that hoyer is bad enough to warrant mallet starting..

Super Bowl MVP Flacco with a 10-5 playoff record? Maybe you're being sarcastic. That's probably it.

LOL, yeah. I love when people overrate him. They can't help themselves.

The tape will show that he missed some open receivers (had Grimes open for a first down), wasn't very accurate and held the ball too long on a couple of those sacks.

He did have have a couple of nice drives where he appeared to find his rhythm. The OLine started well but faded and Hopkins had a big drop.

Hopefully it's Mallett but who knows.

Overrate him for being a winner and a Super Bowl MVP? Flacco isn't a top 3 but likely top 10 and world's better than Hoyer could ever dream of being. If Mallet is 70% what Flacco is we have a good shot at the playoffs.

IIRC, that was in the 4th quarter.

He actually played quite a few more snaps than I expected.

Was around 30. To me he looked fantastic, probably the bright spot of the day to me besides 99 obviously.

Physically, he looked great. Execution still needs some work. He was out of position on a number of plays.

Hopkins also had a stud type game even with noodle arm Hoyer throwing to him most of the game.

Yeah, that's to be expected, it's pretty easy to forget that it's only his 5th ever game in the NFL.
