They were worse than usual today but we have no returner on the roster so that's expected. Fat Randy missing the extra point was unacceptable, he has to do better.
Not sure why everyone is assuming that Mallet is now the permanent starting QB? Did BOB make an announcement or something?
He announced that he hasn't decided yet. I guess everyone is giving him the benefit of the doubt because only a total moron would stick with Hoyer in this scenario.....that said, BOB named Hoyer the starter in the first place so I can't give him that benefit of the doubt.
Defense did seem very Wade Phillips-ish... in the context that they were going to try to do the same thing regardless of what the offense was showing. Reid and Smith seemed well prepared. Defense eventually made adjustments, but the Chiefs also stopped being as aggressive. If anything, its a wake-up call that they can't be allowing 83 yard TD drives and 3rd and 13 conversions at home. I know they allowed an inflated amount of points because of the offensive turnovers... but that 83 yard drive was a crusher early.
I'm wondering why this is funny? We figured out that, of the quarterbacks on the roster, Mallett is obviously able to move the chains more efficiently. That was plain as day for anyone that watched the game. If you think I mean for the future, then obviously you must think I'm an idiot. I'm not saying he can't be though, he'd have to prove it over the season.

Have you ever heard about the term of preventive defense? And did you even bother to check when did the Texans score those points?
it evens out since the chiefs with the exception of one drive did their scoring while we played preventive offense. if no preventive defense or preventive offense is played, we win 10-7, thinking we kick the field goal on 4th and 1 instead of going for it.
So preventive defense is designed to get taken right down the field and scored on in no time at all? Yeah Mallett was given that TD.
One guy gave us a chance to win the game. One guy didn't. It's pretty obvious here. They would have been garbage points except that the Texans almost tied the game up. Prevent defense is only playing the pass instead of the run. Hoyer had time in the 4th with the game well out of reach too and still didn't produce either.
Seems you are smarter than our coach Bob, whose down 18 in the 4th, 3rd down and 22, and elected to just went for a run and waved a white flag. Maybe you truly believed that was a designed play to gain field position and staged for a Mallet heroic comeback? Being a fan to your team is one thing, but completely ignore the obvious facts is sad. Bottom line, this team probably has the worst group of RB and TE in the whole league, just because a backup QB had couple nice drives in a game with about 5 mins left in a 18 points blow out, and somehow we had found the answer? Put him in to start the game today, the result could be the same, you really believe this team's answer is to let Mallet throw 50 times to his wideouts? LOL
It's so funny to see your comment here considering how you describe the Chiefs team before the game and then just blame it all on one guy to cover your embrassment.
Do you think the Chiefs looked amazing? They were gifted 2 drives that started in the red zone and they still only scored 27. Kelce is a beast, but they are a very limited team offensively. If Hoyer doesn't gift the Chiefs 14 points, it's a VERY different game.
