I think this is right. The Republicans knew they weren't going to win on this issue -- and as I've said here before, I don't believe they wanted to win either -- but they wanted to be able to have a vote so they can put Democratic congressmen on record so they could dredge it up for the coming elections. Much like the recurring but fruitless votes to repeal Obamacare, the opposition at this point is for the campaign trail, not for foreign policy.
This deal will make a country that oppresses its people stronger and richer, while lifting sanctions off of a man responsible of killing American soilders. I guess those " paranoid old white people" were right when they said obama hates America.
Nukular bombs and especially the missul systems needed to use them, for suicide, are expensive. They don't make money. I don't know how the price of oil in Iran is actually effected, they may have been selling at $50, but oil is not going to make them rich, richer than Texas anyway. When the mullahs die these kids won't even look up from their phones, wait 'em out. The real war coming in the next decade will be chaos vs. order and you are going to want Iran on the side of order.
The leaders of the UK, France, and Germany also hate their own countries. Bahaha. Your posts would improve dramatically if you exercised even a modicum of critical thinking before posting.
Sanctions were going away regardless and they would get their money back regardless. Russia and china said enough of sanctions. Amazing they went along for as long as they did. You want to play politics and give Iran the middle finger. Well guess what you are also giving them the permission to get the bomb and do everything else anyway. But you don't think in a practical world and that's why we can't have a nutjob as a president because they will do more harm in these situation. Iran was a year away from a bomb. Now they are 15 years away. Much better than 1 year which is what the right wing way would have yielded along with another war.
Last time I was in Iran was in 2009, I saw unarmed people getting shot dead by regime thugs and then came the brutal crackdown, why because they dared to speak freely about the unjust election. That year my entire perspective in life changed. I wanted to see nothing more then the down fall of IRI and do whatever it takes to protect the 1st and 2nd amendment here in the US. This deal will make the regime stronger then ever. I'm sure their can be a better deal, start off by releasing the American hostages in iran.

One thing people don't understand is that Obama wants to set up Iran as a/the regional super power in the Middle East. All of our enemies; Russia, Iran, Syria, China, Venezuela, Cuba, North Korea, are as strong or stronger today than they were when Obama took office. The weakness Russia/Iran/Venezuela have is that they are petro-states. Getting the price of oil down cripples them. It should be the number one national security priority of any president. Instead we get Obama doing reality shows in Alaska and whining about climate change (without modifying his own carbon footprint, of course, that's for the little people).
http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/s...percent/article/2571614#.VfBoCQ2IT_g.facebook The Dems are incredibly disciplined. Obama can get them to vote for unpopular measures like ACA and this Iran deal. He can wipe his party out electorally, be underwater in approval ratings, and the few that remain stay loyal.
